Cerian.
My mood was slowly morphing into somber during the drive to my drop off zone. I didn't want to go back home to Denver. I love him,I really do but things are not as they were before. We don't have closure,we don't even see eye to eye and hardly say I love you to each other. I know I'm trying to salvage what we have but its getting harder than I thought probably because I'm feeling weird things for Corey.

Dancing with a stranger by Normani and Sam Smith was playing on the radio. Corey gently tapped his fingers on the steering wheel to the beat of the song, sway to the sides and even sing. I found myself smiling in adoration just from watching him do all that.

"You don't like this song?" He asked, eyes shifting from the road to me then back to the road.

"I like it," I answerd while rolling up my window. " I'm just tired -I guess ,plus, I wouldn't want to steal your thunder,"

"That's so kind of you," He said in amusement.

Dancing with a stranger ended and another song came up - it was mine : Counting stars from my first self titled album and Denver helped writing it, it was written on the very same night we won the damned lottery in Vegas at some cheap motel. I have another album coming in a few days time ,Denver already made a list of guests for the listening party but I have one more guest to squeeze in.

"Hey,will you be free this Saturday?"

"I don't think I'm booked this Saturday," Corey answered as he turned to the all familiar road leading to my neighborhood. "Why? You got plans?"

"Yeah - have you ever been to an album's listening party? " He shook his head and I continued, "Well, mine's this Saturday at my place after party at Club Dynasty ,you should come. "

"What about Denver, the last time we met..."

"Don't worry, it's my party and he won't try meddling. Come on,please say yes," I was practically begging and Corey just seemed to get amused by the second until he finally accepted my invitation in between laughter , "I'll come, promise,"

The worst part of the day came when he pulled over. I could see the rooftop of my house peeking out from behind Mr. Greys cypress hedge fence. I didn't want to go home - I wanted to spend more time with Corey but I had to go home, back to the man I married.

"So...I guess this is it?" Corey stated with a slight frown . His hand reached over to mine and he gently rubbed circles on the top of my hand with the pad of his thumb. That little action melted my heart -  " I have a confession," He brought my hand to his lips and pressed a soft kiss on it - swear to God,I felt the kissed area burn in a good way. "Can I confess?" I nodded, eyes glued on Corey, ears eager to hear what he has to say . If he was to say  "Let's run away together," I'm sure as hell will be ready to do so so but then again,I can't .

I waited, patiently, for the next words to come out of his mouth,my heart had sought of created its own beat in anticipation for his words maybe he wants to call off this thing that we have because he's regretting sleeping with a married man. Just to be clear I'm the married man.

My breath hitched as he brought his other hand to the back of my head, his fingers danced around and intertwined with my curls then he gently pushed me closer to him,our noses were almost touching. He shut his eyes, confused,I shut mine too and that's when I felt his lips on mine.

Hallelujah!!

It wasn't a rough ,sexual kiss like last time, this one was different, slow ,graceful not too much tongue or teeth clanking. Remember the weird things I was talking about earlier? They were actually butterflies and just now I could feel them flutter their wings and fly around in my stomach.
