Starting to put dates now, because it must be confusing for you guys

August 3 1914

Aurora constantly searched the guest room. She didn't even leave the house at all, Aurora had already spent an hour rooting and digging through the drawers, lamps, bed, mattress, and closet.

Aurora's P.O.V.

I was honestly being paranoid now. I was looking everywhere for some sort of recording device, weapon, blood, anything suspicious. The room was as plain as could be, and it looked as though nothing was in it except for the ever so slightly dusty desks and furniture. I decided it would be no use wasting my time searching the room. I was still extremely confused why he decided to promptly come to my house to sleep. Pretend this never happened. He probably wanted to hide from the killer, so I should stop being so rude and poking the situation over and over again. I thought, sighing. Slumping against the wall, I decided to get ready for the day.

After eating and brushing my teeth, I changed into a simple black and dark red blouse with black pants. I didn't want to be formal, as I was only going to the jeweller's shop.
As I made my way down the streets, I was still a little cautious. I expected Alastor's sudden loud and almost overly cheerful voice from behind me, but it never came. Since the jeweller was close to my home, it was quick. Sighing in relief as he hadn't appeared yet, I quickly placed in an order for the two ruby rings. Ruby was rare where I lived, so this was a present for myself. My birthday was coming up in six days, and I was quite excited.

Walking out of the store, I swiftly returned to my home. Still no loud and excited voice welcoming me. Satisfied, I slowed my pace as I walked into my house. Leaning against my wall again, I glanced at my old and almost cracked watch. 1:22 PM. I had nothing else to do today now that the park event was over. Considering going out to the park, I drummed my fingers against a nearby table. Alastor may see me if he goes to the park.. I want to avoid this awkward exchange as much as possible. My anxiety was already playing scenarios in my head. I tumbled into one and got lost in my own thoughts.

I sat on a gorgeous wooden bench surrounded by green and tall oak trees, swinging my feet a little. He approached me before I could even look around to check for him again. "Hello, dear. Why are you here all alone?" Alastor asked. Of course, he sat down next to me, smiling his wide smirk. "Oh.. nothing. Just enjoying the sunshine." I smiled, trying to avoid eye contact. "So.. you must have had a good sleep last night, yes?" Alastor leaned towards me slightly. As though he was thinking, 'You better give me the answer I want.' "Y-yes.. yes I did." I still avoided his intense gaze.
Alastor's voice went soft but menacing. "Oh, darling. I hope you aren't lying to me." His grin grew wider and maniacal. "O.. of course not, Alastor!" I smiled sweetly at him, trying to seem nervous and not show him that I was faking my ditzy manner. "I hate liars. Did you know that, Aurora?" Alastor's voice was almost a whisper now, as he grew closer to me. "I'm sorry! Okay, you went outside and came back. There. That's the truth." I rambled, leaning away from him. "Tsk, tsk tsk. A lie's a lie, Aurora." I heard the clink of a blade in the middle of his sentence. Damn, I'm scaring myself. "You can't be telling anyone and everyone what you saw, right?" Alastor's voice was cold and terrifying. "N-no.." I whispered, my entire body trembling. Alastor chuckled darkly as he noticed this. "We can't. The only way to prevent that is simply getting rid of you." Alastor slid the blade over my throat, drawing a thin line of wine red blood. "It was a pleasure to know you, Aurora." He smiled, and raised the blade, preparing to lower it into my neck. Alastor slammed it down, I could feel it pierce my sk-

I snapped awake, realizing I fell asleep on the floor. Panting, sweaty, and shaking violently, I pulled myself to my wobbling feet. I moaned in pain, and stumbled to the bathroom to throw up.

Cleaning myself up, my body still shook slightly. That was the scariest thing I have ever witnessed in my ENTIRE life. Thank goodness it wouldn't happen, ever. Stupid nightmares..
I was still shaken up. Looking at the time, I realized it was already 8:18 PM. No sleeping tonight, I guess...
Feeling brave after that incident was over, I decided to go for a walk this late.

Locking my home, I looked at the slowly darkening town. There was little to no people walking along the streets. Right now, I was reckless and careless. After what I had just witnessed, I needed fresh air and movement.
Travelling along the streets, the skies continued to darken. The sun was slipping behind a mountain, casting it's few golden rays across the buildings that stood ever so slightly taller than the others. Raising my chin high, I kept walking with my confidence showing. It was a popular tip going around to avoid being a victim of the serial killer. Deciding a drink would be fine, I headed into the local bar.
The bartender didn't acknowledge me, and seemed busy. Dismissing this, I looked around. Lots of people seemed to be here. Sitting at one of the chairs up front, I ordered a beer. As soon as it was passed to me I payed and opened it; taking a small sip.

It must have been at least an hour later, and two full beer bottles. Suddenly, the entire place erupted into shrieks of fear and warning. The slice of flesh was loud and absolutely vile. Gagging, I looked back to see a middle aged man's stomach sliced clean open, intestines poking out and blood pooling around him. He looked down in fear, dropped the cards he was holding and promptly dropped to the floor. He landed head first, a CRACK hardly audible over the screams of terror and pounding foot steps of fleeing people. I was frozen, staring at his organs dangling from his stomach, twisted neck, and the blood absolutely everywhere. "Who the hell-?" A tall black figure whisked out of the room.
Of course, my body immediately decided fight over flight, the stupidest decision imaginable. Slamming my beer bottle onto the table, it was a little louder than I intended due to the bar's occupants swiftly decreasing as everyone charged out the doors. I walked over to the janitor's closest. Some shoved me out of their way, others screeched at me to get out. Leaping over the body, I slipped back to the janitor's closet. The bar was now completely empty of both customers and employees. "H-..." The whisper was hoarse and probably not heard as I knew I would never be able to complete my sentence. Suddenly, the door opened and I was yanked in. Shoved against a wall, a wet blade was held to my throat. The door slammed shut behind me.
The eyes were immediately recognizable. A monocle shading one, but the brown amber was unmistakeable.

No.
No.
No.
No!
This isn't happening. Wake up, idiot! Get out of another dumb scenario you conjured up while you somehow got drunk off two carefully drank beers.
My thoughts faded in realization as I accepted this was happening, and I was about to get murdered by a man that had taken liking to me aS a FriENd-. No. A murderer that had taken liking to me. Was this the reason he wanted to get me to like him, to trust him? So he could kill me? I squeezed my eyes shut, preparing to be sliced open and the life drained out of me. "Oh, my my. Look who we have here? Aurora? How.. unexpected." The voice was loud as the knife was removed. A light flicked on, blinding me as I opened my eyes. There he was. Alastor. Hands folded neatly behind his back, a blood soaked knife on the checkered floor. A toothy grin on his face. "Why?" I choked out. "Oh, I can't tell you that." He chuckled, his voice low.
I turned cold and angry. "What are you going to do to me?" I shouted at him. "Nothing. On one condition, Aurora." Alastor murmured. ".....What?" I looked down at my feet in shame. "You kill too, and don't tell anyone about me." Alastor seemed to glow with glee at the proposition. "WHAT?!" I yelled, louder this time. My bright green eyes widened in absolute shock and disbelief. Alastor sighed. "You heard me. Don't make me repeat myself." He snapped. "O-ok.. sure. Yes." I nodded. I felt like I was drowning in shame. Living a life of crime alongside the most wanted serial killer just to stay alive. How selfish of me.

Holy shit.
What am I doing?
