Chapter 27

Chapter 27: 

When Sam open the door it revealed the pizza man, Sam got Nick and found him in Charlie's bedroom.

Sam: hey man the pizza guy is here

Nick: oh great thanks, are you finish with the bowl of soup?

Charlie: yes sir

Nick: good girl, go brush your teeth and get ready for bed

Charlie nodded, and Nick and Sam left her alone.

Dinner was over, and their grandpa went back to what he was doing. Sam went back to his room to check to see if they called back while Nick put the things away.

Charlie was about to come out of the bathroom when she heard Sam's voice coming from the hallway, She put her ear by the door and listened.

Sam: Jake, how's Jessica doing?

Charlie was a bit curious about who Jessica was, but then she remembered that Jessica was Sam's sister and Jake was Sam's sister. She listened in on his conversation. When she thinks she gets all the details she back away from the door and ran to her room quietly then got ready for bed.

Charlie's POV

When I finish getting ready for bed, I walk back down the stairs and I found Nick sitting down in the living room reading a book. He looked up when he sees me coming over to him.

Nick: that was a little fast young lady, did you brush your teeth?

I nodded.

Nick: okay then did you take a shower

I nodded at that as well.

Nick: alright then, what's up?

He put his book down beside him and put me on his lap. I lay my head against him and started playing with diabetic tag.

Nick: this must be serious

Charlie: what do you mean by that?

Nick: Well whenever you sit on my lap you always play with my diabetic tag whenever you nervous about something, what is it? 

Charlie: okay um well if I tell you, will you promise not to be mad?

Nick: boy I hate when sentence start off something like that, what did you do?

Charlie: it's not something I did, it's what I overheard

Nick: come again?

Charlie: Well as I was going to the bathroom, I heard Sam talking on the phone, I didn't mean to eavesdrop I was just a bit curious

Nick: alright relax kiddo, I know you were just curious continue

Charlie: okay, so I sort of over heard him say something about Jessica

Nick: you mean Jessica? As in his young sister Jessica, what's up with her?

Charlie: she got into a car accident with her boyfriend. Sam's siblings are coming here, that's all I know I swear!

Nick: alright baby girl I believe you, but no more eavesdropping on other people conversion. It's considered rude to them even tho you're only trying to help. But I want to hear this from Sam first, to make sure you didn't leave out any other misinformation which you tend to do

I blushed embarrassed because I tend to do that sometimes we get me into a lot of trouble. He was about to get up and leave to talk to him but I stop him.

Charlie: no wait! But he doesn't know I eavesdrop on him, so please don't tell him anything

Nick: alright fine, but if you're lying to me about this you and I will be having a long conversation with my brush tonight got it, you know the rules about lying

Charlie: *gulps* yeah if caught lying a spanking on my bare bottom with the brush

Nick: good girl, and you know how I feel when you lie to me, so if this is not true then you know what happens am I correct?

Charlie: *frowns* yes sir

Nick: alright

I sigh and lay my head back on him and started playing with his diabetic tag as he continued reading his book with me still on sitting down on his lap.
