I used to watch a lot of reality shows during the early days – Survivor, Bachelor, Bachelorette, ANTM and The Amazing Race. In some cases, "romance" does happen during these show, by far, the first Bachelorette is the most successful, I still check on them up to this day (Trista Rein and family).

And with that, I hope you will enjoy my take on this prompt...

Part 1 – Meet Cute

Welcome to She's the One...your favorite reality Dating Show! I am Richard Jay, your host! For tonight, we will be welcoming five new ladies into the House of Love!

Maine turns off the laptop, she binge watch "She's the One" and the show is not that bad! She keeps on fast forwarding it...and then she tells herself...

Alright, calm yourself Maine! You got this! MassCom graduate ka, you need this kind of exposure!

It's been three years since she graduated and Maine remains to be a Copyright Editor at The Glam Magazine. Well, she kinda volunteered to appear in this show with hopes that she will be promoted after her stint. Just have to survive the first three eliminations and then she's in!

After sending her audition video and signed documents, Maine wears her favorite red dress for the first shooting. And just as luck would have it, she broke her heels and fell into the arms of this cute guy!

hey...careful, mag s start pa lang tayo!

Oh..are you one of the Bachelors?

No...Im' RJ, the host! Grabe siya hindi ako kilala...

Sorry naman! Pinag tripan lang ako ng office mates ko to join here!

Fan girl started following RJ and he literally run to the Studio. Interesting! Hmmmmm...he looks so good he could be one of the Bachelors.

And so the Shooting started, Maine is one of the five girls who will be staying at the House of Love and the Bachelors will be introduced to them via Mixers Party. It was a fun party, Maine is the third in the popularity ratings. Audience likes her bubbly personality and half of the bachelors are drawn into her as well.

Most of the dates are set up – for Maine's first date, it is with Andrew and they went to a Japanese Sushi Bar. RJ was there to cover the "date" and from afar, Phoebe, one of the Producers sees something between RJ and Maine and she will be discussing this with the Ms. Penny, their manager.

Boss, tignan mo si RJ oh, makatingin kay Andrew parang mananapak, ito namang si Maine parang mas interested kay RJ

Interesting...you know what to do, keep on sending Maine out for dates! Is she the one? Oras na ba ng anak anakan ko para umibig muli??

Hay naku Ms. Penny, malay natin!

Basta focus on RJ and Maine, for sure m p pick up yan ng audience...everyone loves a love story!


Part 2 – Combustible

Second week into the Show and each Bachelorette is paired with a Bachelor and must play a game filled with obstacles. Maine is in her white shirt and denim paired with Andrew again and they are doing great – both can run fast and think quick to manage each task.

However, for some strange reasons, Maine accidentally let go of the rope and she almost fell – until Richard was quick to catch her while Andrew is just about to climb down to get her! TV ratings went up and social media went abuzz over the Host and the Bachelorette

"they look so good together and she is her Superhero...."

"Maine, forget Andrew, RJ is the one for you..."

"request! Gawing Bachelor si RJ and mag date sila ni Maine!"

Since Maine, along with the other contestants are staying at the House of Love, they have no idea what is going on outside - they signed a no social media, no contact with relatives for 3 months. Maine made friends with the girls and in one of their slumber party, they talked about RJ. They were teasing her for that "catch me Im' falling moment" and she just smiled. Later on, she learned that RJ was a former Actor who quit showbiz when his then girlfriend left him for the Lead Vocalist of a famous Foreign Act. He's supposed to host the show for only a year, out of contract obligation but eventually stayed for another two years since he enjoys working with the Team.

One morning, Maine decided to jog around the compound and there he is...RJ, running, in his grey jogging suit. Maine smiled at him and together the run around the compound, Camera Men are quick to follow them around and Penny, decided to use the coverage as an answer to those who want RJ and Maine to have more time together.

As mentioned in one of the TV commercials, Maine, the Bachelorette seemed to be falling for a different Bachelor! Fans went wild, Fan clubs were made and some are requesting that they should be sent to the Love Shack – a private place for a one on one date. Andrew, Maine's most persistent "suitor" invited her there but later on walks out as Maine seemed to talk a LOT about RJ. In lieu of Andrew walking out, they set up RJ to be her date for the evening.

After the "date" RJ requested for an off cam moment with Maine, and they granted it to them.

RJ: Maine, Im' so sorry about Andrew, baka feeling mo napilitan lang ako na maging date mo ha!

M: It's okay, mali din naman ako...

RJ: You know what, forget this show...let's get out of this thing and see each other as normal people would!

M: No...Im' sorry but I can't...I have to remain here to keep my job, to be promoted...

And she explains everything to RJ and he agreed that she should remain until the end and hints that if she were to pick a Bachelor, it should be Marco. She smiled and thanked him for understanding.

Part 3 – The Finale

After almost three months of finding love, can any of our Bachelor claim that "she's the one"? Let's hope so as we reach the Finale of She's the One...

RJ looks so handsome in his suit and tie while Maine wears her white gown with pink glitters on them. This is it, the Bachelors will be selecting their Bachelorette and it's up to the ladies whether they will say yes or no.

As the program started, Andrew picks Gara and she said yes, Marco picks Viv and Maine is left on the Love Seat. As one of the Bachelor is about to approach her, she stands up, walks to RJ and asked if she can talk.

M: Thanks RJ...I really enjoyed my stint here but to be honest, my heart is somewhere else...Im' sorry Dondi and James but I have to leave the show...I am interested in someone else...

RJ: And who could that be?

M: You know who... (Walks away)

RJ: Maine! Wait!

RJ hands her a rose and...

RJ: Maine, this is out of this world but...you are the one for me, please accept this rose.

M: I thought you'll never ask!

Cheers, applause and lots of teasing happened after that...but the two people who found each other via the Reality Show doesn't seem to mind as they were busy hugging each other.

Two Years Later

"...and yes, that is how we met! Ang cute di ba!"

"wait lang, Airen wants to give Mommy something...."

"Happy Birthday Mumiii..."

RJ and Maine were being interviewed by KMJS for their Valentine's day special, they talk about how they met and how they are doing now with a series of youtube shows and viral videos. They have one kid – 2 year old Airen and another one on the way. Indeed, RJ was right all along, Maine is the one for him.
