ETHAN POV
Recently, Lex has been making more noises, & they're actually starting to make sense. I've been really trying to get him to say Da-Da but he just laughs at me.
Dakota was downstairs right now, making him some formula, and I was bathing him.
There were some tuff parenting moments but this was not nearly as stressful as I imagined, despite how fast he grows. He's incredibly smart for a baby, and he seems to love music.
"We're gonna get out now, papa. We're gonna go downstairs and see what's mommy's doing."
He stopped splashing the water and looked at me with a big ass grin.
"Mama?!" He cheered, making my jaw drop.
"OH MY GOD! DAKOTA COME HERE!"
I took him out of the tub and wrapped his towel around him, rushing downstairs.
"WHAT?!" She turned around, confused, but soon relaxed when she saw Lex was fine.
"HE SAID MAMA!"
She set the formula down and ran over to us.
"Say it baby!"
He tilted his head at her and made a confused face.
"Ma...ma?"
"YES! That's it!" She cried, kissing his face repeatedly.
She grabbed her phone and FaceTimed her mom & dad, showing them his new milestone.
2 Weeks Later
"Mama! Mama! Mama! Mama! Mama!" Noah repeated as he danced, causing Dakota to smile as she danced with him.
She was holding his arms up to keep him from falling down.
"Wait, let go, Kota. I wanna see if he can start walking, or at least taking some first steps." I sat up on the couch and started recording with my phone.
She backed away from him, releasing his hands slowly.
"Come to Mama." She repeated, signaling for him to walk to her.
He giggled as he fell back on his butt.
"Call Raquel.. she should be up with Dezmond by now."
I nodded and dialed her number, FaceTiming her.
It rung a few times before it said 'connecting..' & she answered. Dezmond spoke loudly & aggressively about something in the background as she propped the camera up.
"What's up, E?"
"We need help with something, can you and Dezmond come over?"
"He's watching the game right now but I'll come."
That's what he was yelling about, makes hella sense.
"Oh shit! Tell him come over, we can watch it, I have snacks."
She nodded and told him. Dakota grabbed the phone and greeted Raquel.
"I'm trying to teach Noah how to walk, and I feel like you'd be a great addition for motivation."
"Oh fuck yeah, give us 10 minutes." Raquel said, practically interrupting her.
"Alright."
They wrapped the call up and she arrived shortly.

DAKOTA POV
It's been about 15 minutes we've been trying to teach him, and we were actually making decent progress. Sometimes he wouldn't fall and he would just stand there laughing, other times he'd fall and just crawl towards us.
Dezmond and Ethan recorded for the 10th time, as Raquel and I cheered Lex on, trying to get him to walk to us.
He just stared and giggled.
"Okay wait. Maybe 2 people is too many. He could feel like we're making him choose?" I suggested. They all agreed.
I sat on the couch and Raquel cheered Noah on. He stood up and wiggled a bit, keeping his balance steady. He began taking steps towards Raquel, making everybody cheer him on.
Raquel started tearing up as he got closer and closer, soon reaching her and basically jumping on her.
"Yay!" She cheered, making him hug her and cheer with her.
We all hugged him, as Raquel and I became emotional at one of his biggest milestones.
Dezmond saved the video and sent it to all of us.
Raquel picked Noah up and carried him on her hip as she went into her room upstairs.
