sitting on the couch, staring at the cloudy window, my thoughts drift to johnny. "why him? what did he do to deserve this? what would he have done with his life if he were still here?" are all questions that filled my head.
"(y/n)? (y/n), what's wrong?" ponyboy says in a soft tone, bringing me back to reality.
"i'm just thinking about johnny and what he would have done with his life if he were still around." i reluctantly answer while my (y/e/c) orbs shed a few tears.
"(y/n)," ponyboy sighs, "it's hard for me, too. he held the gang together. we all loved him like a brother. i know it's rough for all of us, but johnny wouldn't want us sad about him. he would want us to remember the happy parts of his life." i crack a teary-eyed smile. "i'm gonna head over to the dingo. see you later." as soon as he gets up, i grab his wrist and he slowly turns to me.
"stay." i whisper. we stare into each other's eyes for what seems like eternity before our soft lips touch. he pulls away and sits next to me, wrapping his arm around my shoulders.
