It's the day.

Oh my Allah.

Today is the day.

"Are you ready?" Sana asks looking kinda worried.

"Yeah, " I reassure her.

"You look amazing, " she says with a smile proving her compliment is genuine.

"Thank you. You too."

(Conversation in Arabic)

"Wow. You look beautiful, " my mother said as she walks in the room I'm currently in.

"Thank you."

"Do you like the venue?"

"Yes, I do."

It is honest, the venue is beautiful and all, but it looks too expensive for Saif's family. I kind of felt bad. I don't think one day is really worth all this trouble.

Just when my mother was about to add on to our conversation, my soon to be mother-in-law came in.

"Mashallah, " was all she said and it was enough for me to know what she meant.

"Thank you, Aunty, " I replied gladly accepting the compliment.

"Damn, " Abeel said while coming inside and immediately covered her mouth with her hand as we all laughed. "Sorry, " she apologized.

"You know, " Nora trailed, "Saif is a lucky guy. You look so good. He's going to being all over you while you two are married, " she winked.

"Please Nora, not from you, " I said while fake gagging.

"I don't know Hanan. My brother is a very patient guy, but if I were him I wouldn't be able to wait to get you home, " Abeel said while laughing with my sisters.

It's not that I haven't thought about the whole wedding night thing because I have. I'd be lying if I said it didn't keep me up all night. The fear and excitement.

The fear of it all going wrong and the excitement of being and feeling loved.

I just hope Saif is willing to wait until I'm ready.

(Conversation in Arabic)

"Come on ya habibti, " Aunt Fatima said while helping up from my chair. "It's time to go and meet my son again, but this time as your husband."
