9. Good morning

(A/N Time goes fast when you enter college. How many of you agree.)

In a blink, our first semester is coming to an end but keeping the exams aside, we are going for our first camp.  "Yeah 💃, 10 days full of NCC stuff, it's like going for a vacation with full attendance, no classes, above all me and my buddies will be together 24/7"

We were at our NCC room about to leave, Senior said: "Girls collect your Camp documents and while coming tomorrow get 2 signatures. One from your parents for approving you to attend camp and one from an authorized doctor to say you are medically fit."

Senior also added "I should get the signed documents within 2 days"

We collected our forms and left the college. We being the obedient NCC girls, decided to go to the hospital first to get the signature.

We went to the nearby hospital and was waiting for the doctor to come. We were waiting for an hour and Receptionist informed us that it will take some more time as Doctor have some urgent appointments.

In the meanwhile, we did all the basic health tests. We were really hungry so we decided to go to a nearby tea shop ☕to have some tea.

I really get excited when something unexpected happens. I saw Ragu having tea with Karthi, immediately I took my girls to where they were standing. We wished them and were standing silently waiting for our tea.

Ragu broke the silence "What are you girls doing in a tea shop by this time, it's really not safe to roam around like this" (A/N In Tamilnadu roadside tea shops are meant for guys and not for girls. Only guys go there have some cigars, tea and do chitchat. But you know our girls 🤷‍♀)

Karthi replied with a smirk in his face "Normal girls have to worry Machan, you know these girls right, actually boys should be afraid of them"

No senior Ramya whined and said " We came to the hospital to get a sign from a doctor for medical fitness documents "

Karthi "Is it already December, I didn't even realize that the year is getting over already, anyway have you girls prepared for the camp"

Ramya "Yes senior, we are getting more parade training in the weekdays and also have prepared for some dance performance"

Karthi " Good you should win the house cup for best team, you should win all the competition to get that".

Ramya "Sure, we will give our best senior"

Ragu " It's not just about winning🏆, if you perform well you will get selected for RDC training camps"

Aki gets excited after hearing this, she always wanted to go to RDC camp.

Aki replied "Then we will give our 100% senior"

All this time I was trying really hard to avoid any eye contact with him and the only distractions was the teacup in my hand.

Ragu " Why only you 2 seem to be interested, are you not interested in this camp," He asked looking at me.

I replied "it's not like that senior, 3 of us are really working hard for all the events"

Ragu "Then let's see what happens". He said with a serious face. It was really scary to look at his face.

Karthi " Why are you scaring them now? Come let's go, it is getting late, we have some work to finish "

Ramya asked the question that I really wanted to know the answer.

Ramya "Have you quit college and started working now"

Karthi "No dear we are working part-time for an accountant to gain some knowledge and We are coming to college regularly"

Ramya " Oh ok senior "

Ragu " Ok guys it's getting late for us, take my number and inform me once you reach home safely." Saying this he gave his number and they left.

We waited for another 10mins got the signature and left home.

My mind was full of his thoughts and as soon as I reached home I informed him.

It was really unexpected that he replied.

Ragu" Good to hear that"

I replied " Where are you senior? "

Ragu " I am on my way home ma"

I replied " Go safe senior take care"

Ragu "You to ma, have healthy food and sleep well"

I replied " Sure senior"

Ragu " Goodnight "

I replied " Goodnight senior sweet dreams "

I reread these messages for the nth time before going to sleep,  it was a really good night. 🥰

Next day immediately after waking up, the first thing I did is send a "good morning" message.  And was shocked to get a reply message from him.

I was happy until the moment I saw my buddies. I was happily saying that I chat with him but they showed me their phone they had the same response.

They don't want to ruin my happiness but they also don't want to give me any false hope.

Ramya said" He just wanna know we are safe. Don't think too much."

Renu said, " Vaishu are you feeling anything serious about him".

I replied immediately " No it's not like that I was just happy that he replied to my message "

Renu replied "we can easily see the disappointment in your face. We are not asking you to decide anything. We know you, we love you and we will always support you"

Aki " Also we wanted you to be happy but think twice before you decide anything "

I was never good at decision making and this is definitely not a time to think about him.

So I replied "I will think through this when the time comes. But for now, let's go have something. I am starving"

They definitely know I was not ok or not ready to think about it. They wanted to give me some space.

I didn't think about him for the rest of the day but the next day morning I sent him Good morning message again. He immediately replied to me.

I was happy after receiving the message. The message assured me that he is ok and I'm going to continue doing this every day.

From that day my mornings always start with that good morning.
