After their conversation, Minhyun told Dongho to take care of Baekho since he felt tired and wanted to take a nap. The other didn't argue about it even though he wanted to spend more time with Minhyun. He guessed it would be fine to hang out after Baekho left. He found Baekho snooping around and brought him back to the room.
"How nice of the two of you to finally talk it out," Baekho chuckled.
"Geez. It's.... thanks to you."
"Me? What did I do?"
"You showed me those pictures and I realised that I don't need a smiling Minhyun to be happy. I just need to be happy with the Minhyun I've been blessed with," Dongho replied with a satisfied smile. Baekho felt his heart melted with what the other said despite it actually being his own voice saying it.
"You're so manly," Baekho said while entering the room. They barely got in when they heard crashes, making both males alert. Baekho grabbed his sword while Dongho was already running to check out the source. He quickly followed the other. Another crash echoed the hall again and it came from inside one of the rooms. Baekho realised there were a couple of other people gathering but no one attempted to enter it. He didn't realise why until he heard Dongho speak.
"That is Minhyun's room. Out of the way!" His voice increased in volume as he shoved a few people aside. He opened the door but it took a few tries before it actually opened up. He burst into the room and wasn't expecting to see another him. Minhyun looked up from where he was crouched on the ground to Dongho with worried eyes. Baekho gasped when he saw who it was. He didn't waste any breath and charged straight at the other with his sword.
"You! Where is Minhyun?!" He yelled while bringing his sword down. The black Baekho brought up a baton to block the attack. Dongho ran over to Minhyun to help the other up who was bleeding. Minhyun clutched onto Dongho tightly as he tried standing up. Dongho winced when he saw the bleeding wound from his side.
"You'll be alright, Minhyun," Dongho said and the other just nodded. Baekho was being pushed back to his own surprise too. He really was strong. He swung the baton, making Baekho's sword swing away too. With the sword being heavier, the black Baekho had already recovered and hit Baekho right at his side with the baton. Baekho gasped but steeled himself. He needed a better tactic to go against the other. He dropped his sword and grabbed the baton instead. He pulled it, bringing the other towards him and swung his other hand in for a punch but the black Baekho easily caught his punch.
"Tell me! Where did you take him?!" Baekho yelled again, kicking the other away. Black Baekho stumbled back slightly and looked up at Baekho. Eyes filled with such strong determination but Baekho knew they were the wrong kind of determination. "Give him back to me!" He also wished he could calm down and talk it out with the other but he couldn't. Seeing the other again only made him remember that it was his fault this all happened.
Dongho barely made it to the front door with an injured Minhyun when black Baekho shoved Baekho aside roughly. Even with his guard up, he still fell back and hit the ground hard. He groaned and tried to push himself back up while Black Baekho took the chance to grab Minhyun from the back, making the other cry out when his wound was pressed against. Dongho was startled and kept his hold on Minhyun.
"Let go of him!" Dongho snapped and tried to kick the other away but black Baekho pulled out a spray from his pocket and sprayed the contents out at them. Dongho tried not to breathe it in but Minhyun hadn't notice it and accidentally breathed it in. Dongho felt the other going limp in his hold and knew his own strength was fading too. Baekho managed to get up and he immediately jumped onto the other, trying to rip him away from Minhyun. Dongho used the last of his strength to shove the other away with Baekho pulling him, detaching the other from Minhyun before Dongho collapsed onto the injured male.
Black Baekho growled at Baekho and elbowed him in the jaw. He kicked him away again before disappearing into thin air. Baekho winced at the pain but continued to stay on guard for awhile to make sure the other stayed gone before hurrying to the fainted duo. He looked up at the others who were just watching everything unfold instead of helping. He felt anger and confusion but didn't have time to think about it as he rolled Dongho off Minhyun to help him apply pressure on the wound.
"Someone help?" Baekho asked, trying to stay calm at them. They started moving but instead of moving to help, they all went away until gradually Xiyeon appeared with with a first aid kit. "You... What's going on? Why won't the others help?"
"I told you. That Baekho is a parasite. The others are scared to get involved," Xiyeon replied while opening the kit. Instead of dressing the wound, she handed the items to Baekho.
"Someone is bleeding out in front of them and they care for themselves instead?" Baekho hissed as he unwillingly pushed Minhyun's shirt up to clean the wound and bandage it. Thank goodness the other was already knocked out.
"Our universe isn't as simple as it seems. One wrong move and everything could be worse."
"I don't get it. I really don't!" Baekho squeezed the bandage in his hand. He gritted his teeth.
"I don't expect you to. All you have to do is just help us get rid of that Baekho from our universe. You will save a lot more lives than you know."
"I get it. I'll do it. Just... don't let Minhyun die," Baekho said and Xiyeon nodded, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"He won't die from a wound like this. Minhyun is strong. I'm sure you know that."
