"What are you saying?" Baekho was flustered when he started being dragged away by Minhyun. Then they both noticed the other Baekho or namely Dongho peeking at them. The other quickly hid but it was already too late since Minhyun stormed up to him with Baekho still in his hold.
"Kang Dongho, didn't I tell you to go back to your room?" He said fiercely. Both of the males flinched before Dongho pouted.
"And who is that? Why is there another me here? You know that's bad news," Dongho demanded to know but Minhyun didn't have an answer for him either.
"It is none of your concern."
"I'm Baekho too," Baekho said naively and was shot with a glare from Minhyun.
"Do not speak." Baekho flinched, wondering if Minhyun was mad at him. He just met the other though but nodded anyways, keeping silent.
"Yah, Minhyun. Did she put you up to this?"
"It matters not to you. Go away." Minhyun pulled Baekho and walked pass Dongho who was silently fuming. Dongho grabbed Baekho's other arm, making the two lose balance for a moment but Minhyun regained his and tugged Baekho back. He felt like a rag doll stuck between them.
"Why do I have to go back to my room? Is there a reason why I can't interact with this man? He doesn't seem as threatening as the other one."
"Kang Dongho, let him go."
"Stop calling me that way! Are you still mad at me even though I have apologised?" Dongho scowled and pulled Baekho harder, making Minhyun step backwards too. Baekho was confused. Why was he stuck in the middle of this? But at least he knew this Minhyun was still safe. But exactly how many were there?
"We are not going to talk about that anymore," Minhyun replied bitterly before slapping Dongho's hand away from Baekho. "Come." He tugged Baekho again who just obediently followed, feeling bad for his other self but he had no context to what their argument was about so he dared not interfere. He just waved to the other and smiled a little. Dongho frowned and didn't follow them anymore.
"Uh... where are you bringing me?" Baekho whispered to Minhyun as they made turns to reach the lady's room.
"I told you not to speak," Minhyun replied coldly as he opened the door. Baekho casted his gaze downwards again. The door opened and Baekho saw the lady sitting in the chair. She smiled at Baekho as he was pushed inside. Minhyun bowed to the lady and stepped out from the room, leaving him awkwardly with the lady. Unlike the others who were dressed in black, she was dressed in white and had an angelic aura around her.
"Greetings, Baekho."
"Eh? Hello... uh...."
"I know you're not Kang Dongho. Please, don't be so nervous. I merely wish to have a talk with you," She said in a gentle tone. "My name is Xiyeon and I'm the head director here. It's a pleasure to meet you."
"The p-pleasure is mine too," he replied nervously and bowed. He hadn't interacted with other people before while jumping here and there apart from people that he already sort of knew.
"Take a seat," She said while motioning him towards one of the chairs in front of her table. He walked over and sat down. He realised his sword was still with Minhyun but guessed he could take it back later before leaving. "I have been keeping an eye on you."
"You have?"
"Yes. You're finding for Hwang Minhyun, your lover, by dimension travelling. Did you know that your previous king made a business contract with us before?"
"Um...." Baekho's face was one of pure confusion. After all, he had no idea where he even was. She smiled.
"It's alright. I believe you dove into this without much thought anyways."
"Yeah... I just want to bring Minhyun back safely. Do you know how I can get to him? Since you seem to know what's going on," Baekho asked, trying to sound as polite as he could.
"Yes. I could teleport you to where he is. After all, you are currently in the same field of existence as he is."
"I am?"
"Yes. He is currently in this universe in a stolen spaceship."
"Then why haven't you guys catch him yet? He's abducting other Minhy-"
"Unfortunately we aren't exactly allowed to interfere with him directly as he is an enigma in all universes. Coming into contact with him personally might create a distortion in o-"
"I'm very sorry but I don't understand what you're trying to tell me." Baekho curled his lips in, hoping she had an easier way to explain things for him to understand. She seemed to give it some thought.
"Think of it this way. He is like a parasite. If we were to remove him by ourselves, there might be permanent damage done to our universe."
"But if you leave him alone, isn't he going to make things worse?"
"That is true which is why I need your help."
"My help?"
"Yes. Currently you're also like a parasite but since you pose no harm to us, it is easier to think of you as the cure. If you were to get rid of him for us, then there won't be any permanent damage as long as you set things right." Baekho breathed in, trying to understand the situation.
"So, simply put, you want me to kill him?"
"Yes and no."
"What?" He was getting more confused by the moment.
"Killing him might be one way to solve this. But are you willing to take his life? I told you, I have been watching you. You rather save a Minhyun than to let him suffer so would you be able to bring yourself to kill a suffering Baekho?"
He guessed she was right. Plus the other Minhyun had told him to deliver his message too. He fiddled with his fingers and tried to think of another way he could handle this.
"In other words, remove his existence from our universe."
"But won't he still cause problems in other universes?" Xiyeon stood up and Baekho looked up at her.
"Perhaps. But our universe is linked to many others. So what if he was sent to a universe where all of this could be disconnected?"
"And where would that be?"
"Your universe."
