After we are finished watching there isn't much time until we arrive at the Capitol. I can't help but feel a little excited. I'd never been to the Capitol, only seen it on the television. Soon I would be able to see what it really looks like, if it was really all that it said it was. And right on cue we exit the tunnel we had been riding through for a while and enter the amazing world of the Capitol.

Peeta and I rush to the windows out of curiosity. The Capitol was everything it claimed to be, only better. The people dress in strange clothes and have funny hairstyles. The place itself is so much more vibrant and colourful than I'm used to, I have to squint. As the train pulls into the station, the people gather round.

Peeta and I exit the train into a sea of fans calling our names.

*

I quite like my stylists. They are so kind and funny. They're always making jokes while washing and waxing me to keep me happy, or maybe what they say is only hilarious to me because of their strange accents. Their names are Flavius, Venia and Octavia. They wash me and gossip, by the time they're finished I know all the dramas that are going on in the Capitol. I know Katniss wouldn't like them, she isn't as tolerant as me.

"We have to leave you now, darling." Says Octavia, waving goodbye to me.

"See you soon!" The others add.

I'm now left alone, waiting for my stylist, Cinna, to hurry up and arrive. I hope he is as kind as my prep team. They were telling me all these nasty rumours about some stylists sabotaging the person they were working for.

"Good morning, Miss Everdeen." Says the voice of a man.

When I turn around there is a man with golden eyeliner and a good sense of fashion. He doesn't have that over the top look that most Capitol people have.

"Cinna?" I question. he smiles in reply.

"I'm here to decide what you will wear tonight."

"What will I be wearing?"

"Flames" he replies.

***

Did I ever mention how scared I am of fire? As Cinna prepares my dress I shake with fear. The plan is to set my dress on fire. I've hated fire ever since my Father died in a mine explosion. I didn't tell Cinna, and he is to proud of our costumes to notice.

Our chariot waits at the back of the line. Peeta and I step up on to it. Naturally, I trip and make a fool of myself. Peeta gives me a reassuring smile.

The chariots begin to ride so Cinna lights us up. I tiny yelp escapes my small mouth. Cinna is to busy lighting Peeta up to notice."Good luck!" Cinna says enthusiastically.

As the chariot comes into full view of the people in the Capitol I start to wobble. When people start to notice us and our outfits, my feet fall from under me. I topple onto Peeta and we both fall out of the chariot and on to the ground.

The Capitol are laughing, I am screaming. Peeta is struggling to get up and the world seems to be spinning. The last thing I see before I black out is President Snow, smirking at us.
