I'm shaken awake. A hand is covering my mouth. I'm about to scream but I discover that it's just Marvel. He's putting his finger to his lips, gesturing for me to be quiet.
"Listen." He whispers harshly."Now is the only chance we have to kill the others."
"Kill who?" I ask, shocked. He steps back to reveal the other career tributes, sleeping peacefully.
"You can't kill them!" I yell.
"Shhhhh." He murmurs."I wasn't planning to tell you this, but they plan to use you as bait. They'll use you to draw in other tributes, you'll die!"How could this be? I felt that we were friends, but they are plotting to kill me. "How do I know your not lying to me?" I ask.
"Just listen for a sec." He says."I could have killed you easily just then, but I chose not to. So are you with me or not?"I stay silent and think for a few seconds. He could have killed me. But what's to say he won't just get me to help and then kill me. Even if he doesn't, he was bound to murder me eventually.
"Fine." I say finally.
"Prove it." He says, handing me a knife.Staring around, I wonder who I could kill. They seem so kind, and peaceful how could I...
I stand beside Cato, a clear sign to Marvel I had selected him.
"Quickly." He says, also holding two swords, just hovering above Clove and Glimmer's heads.I drive my knife down, into Cato's chest.

Marvel stands beside the lake, cleaning his sword that is covered in blood. I've felt so awful, I had killed someone up close, and it was not a good feeling. "Come on." Marvel says."Let's go into the forest, do some more killing."
I'm too scared to argue. He's seems way more evil now, I knew it would only be so long before he kills me too. I follow him. I flinch every time he turns around. Marvel's menacing glare scares even the sun away it seems.
A twig snaps from far above us. Marvel doesn't hear it, but my head is instantly drawn to it. There lays Rue, stuck between the branches.
"What are you staring at?!" Marvel snaps, I try to distract him from seeing, but it's too late. He's spotted Rue, and already preparing his spear for the kill."NO!" I scream, throwing my knife, which by chance lands in his stomach. He falls to the ground, and I climb up the tree. Helping Rue to untangle herself from the branches, I see that Marvel's slowly crawling towards his spear, still determined to kill us. We swiftly sprint through the branches, leaving him far behind us.
We come to a stop, and talk. I explain everything that's gone on since I've left her, she seems terrified with the fact that I killed people. Nothing much happened to her, she stayed close to me, always in hiding.
In the night, the anthem of Panem plays. But after it shows Glimmer, Cato and Clove it stops. Meaning that Marvel was still alive.
And he would soon come after me, I'm sure of it.
