Leahs POV

I know I'm the most horrible person for breaking up with someone so gorgeous, sweet and caring just because I'm not ready for kids. I thought of only myself and didn't think about the circumstances of the future. But even if I did, how would I have thought that my favorite student is my exes daughter?

This entire week, Jen has been bringing me Starbucks whenever she'd drop off Veronica to school because I don't really go to Starbucks in the morning anymore since I'm saving money. Today's a Friday. Class is about to end and we finished up all our work so we're just playing games in class. I'm just ready for the weekend. Ready to go out with my friends to the club. I haven't been in such a long time. I've probably only been twice while me and Jen were broken up. So I'm ready to go again.

Once the bell rung, parents were already picking up these kids as I had them go outside as usual at the lunch tables to be picked up. Then I went back inside and Veronica is sitting at my desk since I always let her stay in.

"Hey whatcha doing?" I giggle. "Playing as you" she says. "As me?" I ask with a playful tone. "Mhm" "fun" I giggle.

"When can we have a pizza party for class again?" She asks me.

"Maybe when we end the school year which is very soon." I said. "Oh yay!"

"Aww I'm gonna miss you when you leave my class"

"I'm leaving?!" She asks. "Yeah! You're going to be going into 1st grade soon!" I said. She gasps and a second later her mom comes in.

"Mommy why am I leaving?!" She whines. Jen gets so confused and looks at me. "I told her that I'll be sad that she's going to be heading into a new grade...1st grade. So she won't have my class anymore."

"Oh..baby you're growing up! You cant stay in Miss Leahs class forever."

"Nooo" she complains and pouts. I giggle and walk over to Veronica and gave her a hug as she's still at
My desk. "You'll be fine. I'll still be teaching here for one more year"

"Wow that means I won't see you anymore huh?" Jennifer asks. "Well..yeah you won't unless you visit my class. Which I'm sure you won't."

"I'll visit" she says.

"Hm okay" I said not believing her. "I will!" She giggles. "You know by then, if you have a girlfriend, she'll not like the fact that you're visiting your ex a lot"

"She doesn't have to know youre my ex. Just my daughters previous teacher" she says. I shake my head and look at Veronica. "Ill make sure I take this one for lunch or dinner before the school year ends." I said.

"She'd love that" Jennifer says. I press my lips and squeeze my face into Veronica's as Veronica smiled. Then I let go.

"What're you guys up to this weekend?" I ask. "Nothing. Just going to stay home haha. You?" Loving our friendly vibes.

"I'm going out with my friends"

"Oh"

There was a pause. That was a bad 'oh'"

"Yeah were going to the club in LA. There's some special artist whose gonna be making an appearance so I decided, why not?" I said.

"Well that sounds fun"

"It should be" I said.

"Say bye to Miss Leah" she quickly says. "Byeeee" Veronica says happily and hugs me. "Bye cutie. And bye Jennifer" I said nicely. "Byee" She says and they leave.

She seemed kind of bothered about me going clubbing. I don't know in which way she's bothered though. Does she think something will happen in the club? Or should I invite her because she has a little FOMO? She does know my friends but they know we broke up..

Saturday night

I have an hour to get ready. I'm kind of worrying because one person canceled on us last minute and we had bought this VIP package for a group of us for this luxurious club. I don't really know how it goes but I know we needed 6 people. We have 5 now. They won't let us in the VIP area to hang out with the special celeb unless we have our 6th person. We might just finesse it and see if they still let us in.

I straightened my hair and slicked the sides to go behind my ears, put on hoops and light makeup. My outfit was a bit of a high waisted dark blue jeans with a cropped tank top that has thick straps. The top just pretty much just covered my boobs. Then I had black heels.

"Try and find someone. Anyone to join!!" My friend texts me. Who else would I even ask this late? I mean it's a Saturday but all my friends are either busy or is already coming to the club. My only other somewhat 'friend' is Jennifer..

But she has Veronica..

"My only option is Jennifer but I doubt she could make it because of her kid"

"Just try please!" He replies.
"She'll say no but okay.." I replied.

I sigh and switch over to text Jen.

Then I texted her.

"Hey! I knoww this is super last minute and I know you may not be able to but I'm still gonna ask. Did u wanna come with me to the club tonight? I'm going in less than an hour lol"

"Less than an hour? I take an hour to dress up lol"

"Come on you're pretty. Just throw on something, glue some lashes then you're club ready."

"Ok butttt why're u asking me so last minute? Somethings up. Too early for some ex who just wants to be friends with me" She asks.

"Lmfao. Well we had a vip package since theres a special guest coming. He's a celeb, and idk we get to hang out with him and his crew and shit lol"

"Oooo"

"And I'd like you to come too" I texted.

"You're lucky that Ver is asleep and my mom is here. I'll be ready in 30"

"Seriously?! Yay! I'll pick you up"

"Okay. See u"

And just like that..I'm going out with my ex to the club. As friends and nothing more. Even though deep down inside..I feel like I want her again but I'm containing myself.

But if I wanted her so bad I could have her. All this mess is because of one simple thing, me not ready for kids. But if I really like someone, I could try and deal with it. Especially since her kid is my student. My favorite student. Maybe I can work with it? Who knows.

Or maybe just stay friends.
