The Unexpected

Jens POV

I'm sitting up, leaning back onto the pillow as I'm watching TV and eating some chips and salsa. I shouldn't eat on the bed that much but Leah insisted that it was fine since it's her place.

She walked into the room and sat on her side of the bed too. Veronica was asleep in the extra room Leah has at her place which is right next to this room.

"Hey.. did you switch my pillow?" She asks me as she sits up. "I don't know" I said and continued watching TV.

"Uh..well it feels weird. I think you did switch it" she says.

"Mm. Probably when I fixed the bed. Who knows" I said and sipped my water. "Well. Switch your pillow with mine because you're on mine" she tells me. I finally look away from the TV and looked at her. "Huh?"

"Switch the pillows! Give me mine"

"How do you know which is yours? They look exactly the same.."

"I sleep on the same pillow most of the time. I can tell if it's not it because I get more comfortable with the one you're on which is mine. So switch it"

"I'm too lazy to"

"Wha- babe just- switch it" she tells me again. I furrow my brows cause I can notice that she's actually stressing out about this.

"Honey" I giggled. "Is it that hard to switch it?!" She asks. "Uh with that tone I'm not even gonna bother" I said. Even though it's her house...I'm getting a little to comfortable.

"Yes you are.. get off the pillow" she demands. I didn't answer and continued to eat. "Jennifer! Don't be stubborn! Just switch it! I wanna be able to asleep well before we leave tomorrow for the Aulani trip.."

I sigh and grab the pillow from behind me and pushed it her way. Then I snatched the one she didn't want from behind her.

A few moments later she looks at me again.

"What now baby.." I sigh.

"Actually..the one you're on now was the correct one" she says shyly. I sigh louder and switched the pillows back to how they were in the first place.

"I don't even understand how you know which is which!" I said. "I'm sorry" she giggles. I shake my head and ended up smiling too. Then I rolled to my side and kissed her cheek. "Even though you're annoying.. I love you" I said softly.

She smiles and looks at me. "I'm glad you didnt take that to the heart. I didn't mean for it to be a bad fight"

"Of course! I know when you're mad and just messing around." I said. I poked her side and she giggles a bit.

"Tomorrow is the day we leave" she says. "I'm so excited" I said and hugged her tightly as I get comfortable.

"Be careful with the food, remember?" She says to me. "Oh shit" I said and let go of her and put the food on the dresser next to my side.

"I'll bring it to the kitchen in a bit. Promise you.." I said. "Mmkay"

"I'm just so ready to go tomorrow. I'm excited to spend the time with you and the little one. And I'm just so happy that you and her will be on vacation together." I said.

"I am too. I've been waiting for this for a while. This is the beginning only. I swear we'll go on more trips because I wanna go everywhere with you" Leah says. I smiled.

"Mm.." I hum. "I love you so much.." I said.

She looks at me as I'm still looking at her. She cups my face and leans in, slowly kissing me. "I love you." She responds and kisses me again. She had slipped in a bit of tongue and it gave me the good chills.
