Just seen Drew in the car behind me? Think he was spying on me??? WTF??
Octavia's mouth dropped open when she read Valentina's text. Drew seemed to be everywhere today, and he was always in the sightline of either herself or Valentina. It made no sense.
Octavia slumped on her four poster bed and held a cushion to her chest. She was so desperate to know what Drew was doing, that it was driving her insane. She held a hand to her aching head and walked downstairs to get herself a glass of water.
It was pretty cool, Octavia thought (desperate to get Drew off of her mind), that St Richmonds had pretty cool accommodation for the girls to stay in, it was almost like little houses for each of them.
They were all allocated their own houses at the beginning of the term, they could choose of course, all the nerdy girls together in the house behind the trees, the socialites closest to the computer rooms so they could get the best WiFi signal and finally, herself, Valentina and Aurelia in the house nearest the exit where cars came and went. Mainly because they could easily sneak out whenever they liked.
Octavia turned on the tap and filled her glass up, nearly spilling it as she heard the doorbell go off. She sighed, flapped her wet hands and went to open the door.
It was Valentina, of course, majorly pissed off that Drew was literally everywhere, her black hair slightly flat, as if she'd been running her hands through it, in frustration.
Octavia listened as Valentina revealed that she'd met up with Drew on the night Aurelia went missing and they'd broken up. When she said this, Octavia hugged her best friend tightly and it made her sad about how close they used to be.
Then Valentina went on to say that he was supposed to be in America. Octavia thought this was strange, after all, they'd both seen him just minutes ago, no where near the airport.
"But why would he lie?" Octavia suggested, biting on a nail and trying to fathom up a reason.
"I have no idea, but I know he's up to something." Valentina replied, tears leaking out the side of her eyes. "I just know it."
