Zelda woke up, not remembering how much she cried. She looked down at her husband. He was too young....I can understand death for fighting for your country, but he was tortured, not just killed.... Zelda thought, tears threatening to escape her eyes again. Just as she was getting ready to leave Link and tell her father to plan a funeral, she heard very faint breathing. Could it be......?

"Z.....Zel...." Link tried to say, very breathily.

Zelda looked down at him. His heart was going again, and he was half awake. "L...Link?" Zelda stuttered.

Link weakly smiled, looking up at Zelda. He gently placed the palm of his hand on Zelda's cheek. "Z...Zelda...." he whispered, more clearly this time.

Zelda's tears escaped her eyes, some tears falling onto Link's gloved hand and others falling onto his half-bare fingers.

"Why a-are y-you crying?" Link forced out, dispite the small urge to cry in pain from all his wounds.

"I thought I lost you..." Zelda cried, gently placing her hand on Link's hand that was on her face. "I would've been so sad, I can't loose you..."

"I........I'm j..just a kni...g...." Link was cut off by a grunt of pain.

Zelda remembered their first dance. "No....you're my king....my brave, heroic king...." Zelda whispered.

Draike had been passing by when he heard Zelda crying and speaking. Her and Link's children are asleep, and Link is dead, so who's she talking to so early? he thought. He knocked on the door.

"C...come in..." Zelda said, still crying.

Draike came in to a beautiful scene. Zelda was speaking to her husband who was now alive, and she was crying in sorrow and joy. Link's hand was on her cheek, and he was weakly breathing as he held back painful grunts and tears. "H...he's alive?" Draike asked.

Link weakly turned his head to Draike's view. "I'm ok..." he said in a faint whisper.

Draike smiled and nodded, leaving the room to leave them to their moment.

Zelda smiled down into Link's crystal blue eyes. "You're so handsome...." she whispered, trying not to cry. "So handsome..."

Link's matted hair was strewn around his face from Zelda's restless sleep and from the rough ride home. There was blood matted in his hair, too.

Zelda leaned down and gently kissed him.

Link kissed back, the kiss lasting what seemed like eternity to them, but only really lasted about fourty-five seconds.

Once they pulled away from eachother, Zelda had stopped crying. She stroked his cheek with the back of her hand. "I'm so glad you're ok...." she whispered.
