I sit outside Matty's hospital room, my leg bouncing. A feature I have while I'm nervous. Or agitated.

Honestly, I need release. I can't think straight, maybe it's my sleep deprivation but I need to call someone who will talk me through this.

"Hello?" I say into the phone, after around 10 seconds of ringing.

"Steph? How are you? How's Matty?" Luke's rough voice comes through the phone.

"I'm-I don't know how I am. Matty's awake, talking to Harper right now. I just-" I pause, feeling tears. "I don't know what to do right now, Luke."

"I'm coming to pick you up."

"No, no, Luke it's fine." I wipe away the tears quickly.

"Why won't you let me help?"

"I want you to help, but I look like a poo on the ground right now. I've been crying for god knows how long."

"Stephy, Stephy. Please just take deep breaths. You look gorgeous whenever I see you. Now, come out the front, I'm almost there."

Kat's POV

"God, I hope they're okay." I say, laying on Harry's couch. "I should be there for them."

"Baby, right now I think they need space. Luke's going to see Steph, Harper's with Matty. Their nan is looking after Louis. We'll just let it settle down, give them space to figure out what to do."

"What should we do now, then?" I ask, and Harry looks over at me smiling.

"What about a road trip?"

Nodding, Harry extends his hand for me to take, and pulls me off the couch.

 ..

After around half an hour of driving, Harry turns down a dirt road. I have been dying for the whole trip, very focused on Harry's hand holding my thigh.

He walks me through thin bushland, instantly hearing the beach.

"Harry!" I exclaim. "I didn't even bring my bikini!"

Harry chuckles. "Babe, just wear your underwear. This is a deserted beach anyway."

I don't know how long we were on that beach. Honestly, I didn't care.

We ran into the water after first stepping onto the sand and taking off our clothes.

Harry picked me up, and my legs wrapped around his waist. My hands hold onto his face, and he smirks up at me.

"What's up with you?" I whisper, my top lip brushing his own.

"I'm just so happy that I've got the most perfect girl in the world, in my arms." He smiles, reaching up to kiss me hard.

Steph's POV

I sit on Luke's grey couch cross legged, my right elbow touching the back of the couch. Luke sits opposite me.

"Let's play 20 questions." He smiles, moving closer so our knees are touching.

"Alright." I smirk. "You go first."

"What's your dream guy?"

"Blue eyes, muscles. Blonde hair on occasion. I'm not sure, the physical appearance doesn't matter when you really like someone."

Luke nods, looking at the couch, then back up at me. "So, me?"

"Shut up." I roll my eyes. "Dream girl?"

He looks me up and down, smirking. "Dark hair, brown eyes. It would be a bonus if she had a good body. Good sense of humour."

"So, me?" I joke.

Luke looks at me, seriously. "Yes."

I blush, pushing his shoulders away. "You go."

"How far have you gone?" He grins.

"Further than you'd probably expect."

"Are you a virgin?" Luke grins like a schoolboy.

"Ah-ah." I say to him, smiling. "That was 2 questions. Are you a virgin?"

He shakes his head quickly. "You?"

I copy his actions, shaking my head.

"Who was it?" He says, eyebrows furrowed.

"I'm not answering that. That's private."

"C'mon. You said you'd tell me anything." His hand moves to my cheek, pulling my face closer.

"It was-"

"So I know the guy?" Luke says.

"Are you going to let me finish? It was George."

Matty's POV

My arms felt like they were glued to the bed. All I wanted to do was hold Harper in my arms, and not let anyone else have her.

"Matty...I'm so sorry." She cries, sitting in the chair next to me.

"Baby.." My raspy voice sounds rougher than usual. "It's not your fault. I chose to use the drugs, and you needed someone. I wasn't there. Ash- Ash is a better person than I could ever be."

"Matty. We'll always be linked. I fucking love you, and my fucked up mind will never stop loving you."

"I can't commit to you, Harper, you need better." I cough, the drip in my arm becoming more and more obvious, sticking into my veins as I try to move my hand to hers.

She looks at me like I am speaking another language. "Matty, to me, you're the best I could ever fucking get. Don't you forget that."

"I l-love you." I choke out. She gets me my glass of water, and brings it to my mouth.

"I love you too." She smiles, kissing my forehead.
