Chap 3

Gabby's POV

"Next time," I said. Britt knocked down nine pins. "People are just better than others in some things."

"TC, get the last pin," said Britt.

"Right," said TC. He knocked down the last pin "Yes."

"Dev, you're up," said Drew.

"Here goes nothing," said Devin. Before he could let go of the ball, he fell and his ball went into the gutter hole instead. "Oh, come on."

"Let me try," said Jayk. He was able to knock down all of them. "Is that a strike?"

"It's in the second try so it's a spare," said Alexis getting up. "I'm going to do mine with a challenge." She picked up a ball and looked down the lane. "Choose either blindfold, sitting down, or doing this backwards."

"Let's blindfold you," said Drew. He wrapped his bandana around her eyes. "Can you see?"

"Nope," said Alexis. "Here we go."

"You're asking for a challenge," I said as Alexis threw the ball down the lane. She turned around and took off the blindfold. The pins were all knocked down. "You got a strike!"

"My dad was a tournament bowler," said Alexis. "Taught me everything he knew."

"You could've mentioned that," I said. After we bowled, Blaxis came in first but Drebby were a few points behind. "My best game yet."

"Maybe we're sisters after all," said Alexis.

"Considering what we've been through, I believe it," I said. I sighed. "Guys, I'm starving. Can we go somewhere?"

"Yeah," said Alexis.

"Where?" I asked as we walked to to the car.

"Panera," said Drew.

"Only you, Drew," I said.

Drew's POV

"If not Panera, then what?" I asked.

"I don't mind where we go," said Alexis.

"McDonalds?" asked Devin.

"Lunch is on me," said Alexis. "Pick a place and I'll pay."

"Red Lobster," said Jayk.

"Alexis, no one can take your place, gorgeous," said Gabbt. "But Jayk is my new best friend right now."

"Red Lobster it is," said Alexis. We went to Red Lobster and was finally seated after an hour. "Next time, we're getting reservation."

"Where are your credentials?" asked TC.

"In my duffel," said Alexis. We ordered our food and started eating. "How about a movie?"

"Not if your paying," said Jayk.

"I agree," I said.

"It's been a while since I've been with you guys," Alexis stated.

"We love you're here because we've missed you but don't shower us in gifts," I said. "If we go to the movies, I'm paying."

"Okay," said Alexis smiled. We ate, Alexis paid, and we went to the theater. "We have to figure out what we're going to watch."

"Annabelle," said Jayk.

"A movie on the killer doll?" asked Devin, a little scared.

"I'm up for it," said Alexis.

"Eight tickets for Annabelle," I said. She handed us the tickets. We bought four tubs of popcorn. "Let's spread out." I grabbed Gabby's hand and we sat in the back. "Are you scared?"

"Maybe," said Gabby.

I held her hand. "I'm right here," I said smiling. I put my arm around her. She moved the cupholder and leaned in. "Always."
