Britt's POV
"It's a plan and we're hoping it'll work," I said.
"What is it?" asked Drew.
"Well, we were thinking about having Todd fill in for you," said Jonnie. "But you can still sing Song About You."
"My fans," said Drew.
"They're going to ask what happened," I said. "What's the story behind his broken leg?"
"We can't say he got hit by a car," said Alexis. "That will definately stir up the fandom."
"Skateboard accident?" asked Jayk.
"That's not such a bad idea," said Alexis.
"Skateboard accident it is," said Drew typing on his phone.
"Are you serious?" I asked. "You're going to tweet a picture about this?!"
"Yeah," said Drew. "It's more believable that way."
"Just don't release too much information," said Jonnie.
"Don't worry," said Drew.
"You should be the one we worry about," said Alexis. "But do you want the concert to go like that?"
"How long?" asked Drew.
"Six weeks till you can dance again," I said.
"This is going to be a long six weeks," said Drew.
"You're telling me," said Todd. "I have to learn your part."
"That shouldn't be a problem," said Alexis. "You are am amazing singer."
"Thank you," said Todd.
"You guys should go home and rehearse," said Gabby. "I'll call whever he's being released."
"No need," said Alexis looking at Drew's papers. "He's being released in an hour."
"You can read doctor paper?" I asked.
"Yeah," said Alexis. "Release time twenty two hundred hours."
"I guess that answers my question," I said.
TC's POV
"Twenty two hundred hours?" I asked. "Is that even a real time?"
"It's military time," said Alexis. "It means ten tonight."
"That's in a few minutes," I said. "Not an hour."
"Oh, whatever," said Britt. "Either way, he's being released."
"I can drive Drew when he's being released," said Alexis. "You guys can go and rehearse."
"You're my ride," said Blake.
"You need to go and rehearse and help Todd," said Alexis. "Just go. I'll meet you at the hotel."
We all left Alexis and Drew. We got into the van. "I can't believe we have to do all these school shows without Drew," I said.
"Who would you rather have fill in for Drew?" asked Britt. "I'm willing to learn the part if —"
"You can," said Todd. "There's my replacement."
"If something terrible were to happen to Todd," said Britt.
"And that doesn't mean to go and hurt yourself," I said. "It's bad enough we have to perform without Drew." We walked up to the hotel room and cleared some space. "Who knows Drew's dance enough to show Todd what we're doing?"
No one said a word. "Don't we have rehearsal footage?" asked Blake. "That will help a lot."
"It'll help but will he be able to count his way in?" asked Devin.
"Yes, he can," said Britt. "Math is involved with music." I smiled. "Todd can get this."
"Thank you," said Todd.
"Alright," said Gabby. "Let's start rehearsing."
"Yes," I said. Alexis walked in with Drew. "Okay, we have more eyes to help."
"You guys still haven't started?" asked Alexis.
"We need your help," I said. "Drew's actually. He needs to spot Todd's mistakes."
