Britt's POV

"Why Cumberland?" I asked.

"Small town," said Jonnie. "The more small towns we get, the bigger the weekend concert will be when we perform in the big city."

"Alright," I said. "Just wondering." I must've fell asleep at one point because I woke up when the van came to a sudden stop. "Where are we?"

"Cumberland, Maryland," said Jonnie. "Here's our hotel."

"We can get some sleep?" asked Drew.

"No, you guys have to get ready to perform," said Jonnie.

"Who, what, when, where, and why?" I asked.

"After Romeo," said Jonnie. "A small free performance today at the Naval Base Academy because today is bring your kids to work day."

"Makes sense," said Jayk.

"It does?" asked TC as we got out of the car. We were greeted by Blake and Alexis. They were happy. "You guys are way too happy."

"Why wouldn't we be?" asked Alexis. "Blake proposed." She showed us the ring. "He's the best."

"He what?!" we all exclaimed.

"Yeah," said Alexis.

"I'll deal with you later," said Jonnie. "We need to get ready." We went to our hotel room, showered, got dressed, ate a little something, and got back into the van. "Okay, original playlist, alright?"

"Got it," I said. We got to the Naval Base but they didn't let us through. "Now what?"

"Call Alexis," said Gabby.

"No offense but I don't think she could get us into the government facility unless she —" Devin paused. "Ohhhh. Nevermind."

"Yeah," said TC. "She works for the government."

"Feds," I said as the guards let us through. "Finally. Now you guys can perform."

TC's POV

"Why are we performing on a Sunday anyways?" I asked as Jonnie parked the van. "Not that I'm complaining."

"It's the only day they're having bring your kids to work day," said Jonnie as we got out of the van. He looked at Alexis. "Thanks for getting us past the gate."

"Just be lucky I didn't leave my credentials at the hotel," said Alexis as she adjusted her holster. "Let's go." We walked inside the cafeteria and when they all saw Alexis' gun, they were in caution mode. "Stand down! I'm with the feds."

They all relaxed. "We're here for the concert," said Jonnie.

"Right," said a guy walking up to us. "First sergent Hammond, at your service." I nodded. "The stage is right over there for you to set up."

"Thanks," said Jonnie.

"Let me have a minute with your personal guard," said Hammond.

"Okay," I said as we left Alexis with him. "I'm a little concerned."

"Why?" asked Blake.

"You just left your girl with a first sergent, first class," I said.

"So?" asked Blake.

"Doesn't it concern you that she's with someone with a higher ranking than you?" I asked.

"No," said Blake. "I trust you."

"I'm glad you do," I said.

"You don't?" asked Todd, setting up.

"Oh, I do," I said. "She's fed. There are going to be lots of guys hitting on her."

"Doesn't phase me until they put a hand on her," said Blake. "That's when I have to interfere."

"She can fight," I said. "I imagine she can fight considering she had to go through training."
