Chap 10

Alexis' POV

We got to the hotel and walked inside. We sat down. "Britt, can I help you with anything?" I asked.

"No," said Britt. "You guys should go out." I looked at her. "Go have fun."

"We're not going to have fun without you," said Blake.

"Jayk can keep me company," said Britt.

"I'm going to go to the store," I said. "I'll take Gabby and Blake with me." I looked at Britt. "We'll be right back. I got something to cheer you up." Gabby, Blake, and I got into my camaro and I started driving. "Hopefully this works."

"What?" asked Blake.

"A little early celebration for her," I said. "Just a small birthday before her twenty fourth."

"Right," said Gabby as I parked in front of Party City. We walked inside. "Whoa."

"So Britt likes lime green," I said. "We need birthday decorations. Go." Blake and Gabby went around the store. My phone rang. I picked up. "Hey, Teec. What all do I need to buy?"

"Red rose petals and lots of them along with white and pink ones," said Teec.

"You're asking her to marry you, not giving her a rose bath," I said grabbing a bag of each color. "What else do you need?"

"Candles," said TC. "The white and red ones."

"Is that it?" I asked grabbing a box of candles.

"Streamers and balloons," said TC. "Same color as the petals."

"Alright," I said. "See you in five." I hung up. I paid for the stuff and walked outside to a limo. The window rolled down and there was TC. "There's all the things you'll need."

"Thanks," said TC. "You're the best."

"I have to help my brother to get his girl," I said. "And she is my best friend." I smiled. "You guys are perfect for each other."

"Thanks again," said TC.

"Don't mention it," I said as the limo drove off. A few minutes later Gabby and Blake walked out holding two bags. "Ready?"

Blake's POV

"Yeah," I said. We got back to the hotel. Jayk had taken Britt to one of the rooms so we can decorate. After and hour we got done. "Done."

"Cake?" asked Gabby.

"Right here," said Alexis getting it out of the fridge. She lit the candles as we gathered around the island with the lights off. "Hey Jayk!"

"Yeah?" asked Jayk.

"Bring her out," I said. Jayk guided her while closing her eyes. "On three. One, two, three."

Jayk uncovered her eyes. "Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you," we sang. "Happy birthday to Brittany. Happy birthday to you!"

She smiled as she blew out the candles. "Thank you so much guys," said Britt as Devin turned on the lights. "This is so thoughtful of you guys."

"Well, I wanted to do something special for you, so why not?" asked Alexis. "It's your big twenty fourth birthday and I don't plan on missing it."

"Alexis?" I questioned.

"I missed all of her birthdays for five years since I've been fone," said Alexis. "I'm not going to miss anymore."

"No offense but you did leave," said Britt.

"Hey," said Alexis. "It was a career." She nodded. "For five years but it was something."

"Yeah, it was something alright," I said. "I'm just glad to have my kitty cat back."

"I'm so glad to be back," said Alexis. "Sorry I didn't take up performing or something." She smiled. "But I can always sing covers."

"You stick to the badge," said Drew. "We got enough crazed fans out there for a personal body guard."

"Really?" asked Alexis.

"Trust us," said Britt. "Been there done that."

"Look, it's okay, Britt," said Jayk trying to comfort her. "You and I are gonna have so much fun tomorrow!"

"I know but TC won't here here with us," said Britt. "He won't be here to party and get ourselves kicked out of places like we always do."

"Whoa!" exclaimed Alexis. "I don't wanna know what illegal activites you guys did." She was serious. "That gives me probably cause to arrest you and you don't want that."

"It wasn't anything illegal," I said. "I promise you that much, at least."
