I'm walking towards the woods right now. It's 6:45 pm. The pack was waiting for me. Before I could disappear into the woods, I heard a car blowing its horn. I turned around to see the car pull over to the side of the road. Who the hell is this? And what do they want?
The person started to get out the car. Tiffany? What the hell is she doing?
"Tiffany, what the hell are you doing?" I asked, angrily.
She walked towards me, quickly. "I'm here to ask you the same thing."
"Tiffany, you need to leave, now." I tried to slightly push her back to her car. "You shouldn't be here."
"Why? What's so important inside there?"
Tiffany tried to walk into the woods. I grabbed her arm and pulled her back. "Tiffany, leave. NOW!" I semi-yelled.
"WHY?" she yelled back.
"DJ." I turned around to see Trey a few feet behind me. His face was serious. "We need to go. Deal with that later."
"Who are you?" Tiffany looked at Trey. Then she looked at me. "And why are you letting him tell you what to do? Tell me, DJ, please." Her voice cracked on that last sentence.
I clenched my jaw. She was about to cry. "Tiffany, just please go back home."
She shook her head. "You promised not to hurt me. And look what you're doing." A tear slowly rolled down her face.
I looked away from her. I can't look at her while she cry. I took a deep breath and looked at her. "I'm sorry. I really am. But I need you to leave. Now. Go. Home. Please."
I leaned in and kissed her on the cheek. Then I walked into the woods with Trey following behind me.
I sighed. I remember that day. After I asked her out, I promised not to hurt her. But that's exactly what I'm doing. It is what it is though. We're not meant to be.
"Just let it go," Trey said.
I looked at him, crazy. I scoffed. "Of course. Let's get this over with." After that, we ran to the spot.
We've finally got there. Ahead of us was 7 vampires. They all look alike. I see where Derwin get his looks from.
A guy that look like Derwin, but slightly older, stepped forward. "I'm Dave Davis. My son tell me y'all called for a meeting. What is the reason for it?"
"We need to know if we can trust y'all," Trey said. "The internet make it seem like y'all just the perfect little vampires."
"We are."
"You're not. None of you little snakes are. All of y'all are evil and untrustworthy."
"Now if you really believe that you wouldn't have just said that you needed to know if y'all can trust us. There's a little hope inside of you that believes that we really are what the internet say we are. You wouldn't be talking to me if you believe that, but you are."Trey laughed. "Funny. Real funny. Look here, I'm not going to go back and forth with you. You're lucky I'm not killing you right now. I've got a good heart, so that's why I'm giving y'all a chance. But y'all are making it real hard." His voice got serious. "If y'all touch or bite or anything on an human we will kill y'all. This is our agreement. Break it, y'all die. Now if you really are what the internet say you are, take it and don't argue with me."
Dave thought about it for a few minutes. Finally, he made up his mind. "Fine. Agreement set."
"Great. Hope not to ever see y'all again." Trey looked at us. "Let's go."
