Jade's POV
Coach called us over and went over our formations once again. After that we all started warming up a bit until the ref blew his whistle signaling the two team captains had to go over to him for heads or tails to see who got which side. I walked over just as Megan jogged over to the ref. The ref asked me heads or tails. I picked tails just before he flipped the coin, we looked at the coin to see it had landed on tails. I picked the side we were already on.
"Enjoy that it's about the only thing you'll win today", Megan said smirking before running back over to her coach. I swear if looks could kill she would be dead over and over again. I walk over to the team and we get into another huddle before breaking and going into our formation, waiting for the ref to start the game. I look over at Megan to see her winking at Perrie, i seen Perrie roll her eyes at Megan. I was just about to smack Megan so hard before i heard the ref's whistle blow. I soon got into warrior mode and all that mattered was winning this game and rubbing it in Megan's face.
Megan's team got the ball first, they tried to get a basket but Steph one of our best defenders stole the ball of the player. Jesy now had the ball as she dribbled the ball down the court and passed to me before i took a 3 pointer shoot, it went in and the crowd cheered. As i ran back to my position i winked at Megan making her angry as she shouted something at her team. Jesy high fived me as did some of the other players.
Some time later the scores were good we were a head by a small bit but still a head.Jesy had scored most of the baskets.As some other players scored, i had scored a few. Me scoring didn't matter to me right now just being a head was important. Everyone on the court looked like they needed a break and thankfully that's what we got.
We all ran off the court and over to get a drink. After i drank my drink two hands were placed over my eyes and i knew exactly who it was. I turned round and pulled her towards me so that now i was giving her a bone crushing hug.
"Eww baby your all sweaty", Perrie said wiping my sweat off her face while i just laughed.
"You don't say anything about that when i'm all sweaty and your lying under me moaning", I said smirking, her mouth turned into a 'O' shape before she smacked my arm.
"I can't believe you just said that", she said still sounding shocked at what i had just said.
"I'm kidding okay. i'm sorry", i say before pouting, i knew she couldn't stay mad at me for long.
"Yeah whatever, now hurry up and get back to the game before the second half starts", Perrie says before pecking my lips one last time before running back to her seat in the stands beside her family and Kat and Leigh. I take one last drink of water before running onto the court again and back into my position.
The first while was going okay but the team was getting tired and Megan's team were catching up on our score pretty quickly. I knew something was up that's why i had to take control and try and hype the team up. The crowd was cheering pretty load which was a good thing, the last thing i need to hear is my dad shout at me one more time.
All was going well as the game was in it's last 10 minutes, both crowds were having a scream off by the sound of it. I'm not going to lie i was so so tired but i knew i had a job to do. We were still a head by a bit so that was good. 10 minutes and we will be champions. But anyway back to the game, i passed the ball to a girl on my team called Amber she was just about to score when some girl from Megan's team tripped her up, our whole team and the our side of the crowd started screaming at the girl and the ref. Megan high fived the girl, making my anger build and build. The ref dismissed it and said Amber did it on purpose.
A lot of words were shouted at the ref, he give Megan's team the ball which they then scored a three pointer from. The scores were getting closer and closer with every passing minute.
