"Vice President?"

Clara questioned lookin at the patch that she was hand sewing into Chibs's kutte. It was a few mornings later after Jax's house call. Clara had still yet to actually leave the house so she knew little to nothing about what was happening in the club.

Chibs sat across from her in their kitchen as her fingers worked to fix the patch.

"Aye. Jacky wanted me there. Hap is SaA."

Clara chuckled a little and nodded her head.

"That's a good spot for him."

She said her eyes darting up a bit to look at Chibs before she focused on her needle work again. Chibs watched her working over the patch slowly making sure to do a fine job at it.

"Are you happy with me?"

Her fingers faltered as she paused her work. Looking up and over at Chibs she eyed him curiously. Chibs hadn't ever been a man to be so unsure about himself so the question caught her off guard a bit.

"Of course I am? Why wouldn't I be?"

Her soft smile caused him to smile in return.

"Jus a worried ol man I suppose."

He shrugged causing her to giggle before going back to work. She was almost halfway done with it now.

"Would ya marry me?"

Her eyes darted up so fast she had forgotten what she was doing and poked her finger. Cursing and pulling her pricked finger into her mouth she hissed. But her eyes looked back to Chibs.

"I thought you were already married? Catholics don't devorice last I heard."

She spoke over her finger which was still in her mouth. Chibs gave a slight shrug.

"If I did though, would you?"

"Marry you?"

"Aye."

Her lips turned upward as she chuckled a little. Some heat she could feel rose to her cheeks and turned them a light peach-rose colour.

"Yeah. Yeah I'd marry you."

His brows arched seeming to have no suspected that answer from her. Rolling her eyes she pulled her finger from her mouth seeing that the bleeding had stopped.

"Don't look so surprised. I'm willing to have your children, why would I not want to marry you as well?"

"Yer young fer one."

"You think ol man dick everyday scares me?"

Chibs bellowed a laugh that caused his head to tip back. Clara chuckled at her own little joke as she placed the needle secure in the vest while she placed it down onto the table.

"I think that's what makes it most exciting. The fact that we're so different, but so much alike. True, you're old enough to be my dad. But I'm not like all those other girls my age. I grew up with my papa's teachings and my mother and Galen raised me most of my life. When dad finally had me, well, let's just say I am who I am today because of everything in my life."

She hasn't expected their little chat this morning to have taken such an odd turn. He had asked her to fix his patch after a round of soft and loving morning sex and he joined her in the kitchen shortly after his shower.

"I'm with you, because of how you treat me, Chibs. Not because of your age or what you have to offer me comfort wise.  But because you're you. And I like that."

She winked with her smile. Chibs's own smile grew just a tad bit from her words. He loved her it was obvious. A man doesn't drop everything to go rescue a woman he loves across the ocean for nothing. He doesn't offer up everything he has to give her for nothing.

He loved her and dare he even say perhaps more than he ever did his own wife.

"Commer lass."

He held his arm out for her to get up from her chair and go to his lap. Her smile never faltered as she pushed back her chair and did as he offered. Seated there on his lap she ran her fingers through his beard slowly.

"I love you, Filip."

She said softly looking into his bright brown eyes. She felt a breath slip through his lips as he swooped in and claimed her own. Inhaling deeply through her nose she kissed him back with just as much emotion as he have her.

Deep, long, slow.

Their tongues slipped together once or twice during the kiss, but for the most part it was kept closed mouth.

A knock came to the door causing Chibs to groan loudly and glance over to the door. Grinning like a mad woman Clara climbed out of Chibs's lap and went to answer the door.

The moment she opened it her blood ran cold.

"Hello sweetheart."

Standing there looking at one another Clara swallowed in a nervous manner. When Chibs heard the greeting, but no reply he stood up from his chair in the kitchen.

"Clara? Who is it?"

He called from the kitchen preparing to walk into the livingroom to see for himself. When he came to the door behind Clara, he understood why she was so quiet.

"Gallen, Laura?"

Both stood there out in the open on his porch step. Looking between him and Clara.

"Filip."

Gallen greeted while his sister only nodded her eyes boring into him.

"May we come in?"

Gallen questioned looking at Chibs. Chibs could tell how uneasy Clara was having opened the door and her mother and uncle standing right there. They were wanted people here in America. True IRA members and there they were just standing out in the opening like it was nothing.

Just the two of them.

"Aye. Come in."

He told them not really knowing what much else he could possibly do. He could turn them both away that was an option yes, but then what about Clara. She had made a deal with them and if he was to murk it up, what would happen to her?

"Thank you."

Gallen replied as he and Laura walked into the house as Clara was pulled to the side with Chibs.

"It's okay."

He whispered into her ear.

"I've got you."
