"If Gamora wanted theories. She's going to get theories," you said to yourself, sitting on your bed.
You removed the lid from the evidence box and notice a big book sitting on top titled Rare Gems and Stones from Around the World. You lifted it out and realized this is why the box was so heavy. "Okay this is like–" you flipped to the last page "–fuck it's 561 pages." You closed the book and set it aside. You'll get to it later. Underneath the book laid Gamora and Kraglins files.
You opened Kraglin files first. "Wikipedia, for real Kraglin? How are you an FBI agent? Is it all from–" you sifted through the rest of his notes "–Yup, it's all from Wikipedia." Research isn't one of his strong points either much like profiling. You closed his files and moved onto Gamora's files.
Gamora had notes printed and written out with different color highlighters markings up each page. Unlike Kraglin, she had her shit organized. Most of her notes referred to the big book from the box. You set them down and opened the book to page 50 to a section titled Infinity Stones. You scanned over the page as you started reading from Gamora's summarized notes:
History of the Infinity Stone Necklace Collection
During the time of great drought and famine, the tribal council of Sakaar sent one courageous individual, Valkyrie, to venture out into the unknown in search of a new aspiration. What she came across is hard to explain, but she spoke of it happening like magic.
Valkyrie traveled a great distance to find what she believed to be unexplainable. On the brink of death from dehydration, she laid on the ground wishing for water. All a sudden it started raining on the upper half of her body, but not her legs. As she stood up and walked into the rain, she thought she was hallucinating when a rainforest appeared in front of her. She stepped back and she was in the same drought and disease ridden area, but once she stepped forward again she was in a rainforest. It was as if it was a whole new world hiding in plain sight.
Valkyrie continued to explore the area when she stumbled upon a plunge pool below a waterfall. She dived in and going under the falls noticing a small opening behind it. She followed it, drawing her sword until she came across a sunlit room with strange writing on the walls. Skeletons laid on the ground in battle gear with six glowing stones sitting in a perfect circle on a pillar. It almost looked like the people were defending the stones or protecting themselves from them. She stared at them not knowing what they were but believing they were not from this world. Valkyrie tore off a piece of her shirt, afraid to touch them with her bare hands, and picked them up with it. She shoved five of them in her bag leaving one behind and prepared for her long trip back to her village.
Returning to the village, she told the council what she discovered but they thought she was insane. Then, she showed them the five dim colored stones. Valkyrie wanted to show them what they could do, but the council kicked her out. Ignoring her pleas, she wanted to prove them wrong and shove it in their faces. That evening she prayed to the stones for rain and food for the entire village. The next morning, it started to rain and crops sprouted up from the ground ready to eat. She went back to the council telling them what she had done and they finally believed her. Valkyrie told the council that these stones were for the village and were too powerful for one individual. The council agreed and made a special place for them in their Temple Vault. The whole village came and prayed to them hoping their wishes would come true. This brought wonder of what else might be out in the world.
Valkyrie warned the council and the villagers to not touch the stones with their bare hands because she didn't know the full extent of their power. Some people didn't listen to her. When a person touched a stone, they turned crazy almost rabid before becoming disoriented and eventually dying a painful death. Only a few people that touched the stones survived, they became known as the Untouchables.
