Dominic's pov
She looked at me and clenched her jaw a little then said
" is that what you really think of me "
I froze I couldn't say anything then she continued
" I didn't show you because you'll think it's stupid "
She pulled up the sleeve and it was a K and Q with a heart under each and I knew that people in relationships got the King and Queen tattoos but not someone getting both
" It means I don't need anyone else because they'll just disappoint me in the end so I'm both the King and the Queen "
I didn't know how to respond and I guess it was painted across my face because she said
" See I knew you'd think it's stupid "
The waitress came with our food. She started eating like she was starving and without looking up she said
" Stop staring at me "
I snapped out of it and we ate in silence.

It was 3 pm and that's when school gets out
" hey do you want to go to my school so I can get my work "
" fine "
She said fake annoyed. We got in my car and I drove to the school it was hard to keep my eyes on the road because I wanted to look at her but I didn't want to kill us so I looked at the rode. We went in by the art doors because they're always unlocked she looked all around as we walked around to the different room I needed to go to.
" Dominic where were you today you better have a good excuse "
She stepped in behind me and I was going to say we were just friends then she said
" I'm sorry to have kept him from school I'm his cousin and I just got in today so he was showing me around he was only supposed to show me around till 10 but you know Dominic "
" yes he gets distracted very easy "
The teacher said with a smile
" I'm sorry "
" it's ok ... "
" Dominic I think your mother will lose her mind if we're not back soon "
I looked at her amazed
" you're right we should get going "
She walked out and I followed.

As pov
When we left the room he had a big smile on his face
" what "
" nothing I just "
" what you just thought I couldn't use shiny words "
" yeah and change subjects so smoothly "
" I'm full of surprises "
I said as I walked down the hall back to the doors we came in. I rounded the corner and a security guard yelled at me so I turned and started to run
" go I got this "
I said quietly as I went up the stairs. I could hear the heavy boots of the security guard hitting the floras he chased me up one hall down the other back down the flight of stairs to the other side of the school eventually finding the front door and when I went through he yelled
" get back here you punk "
The gates were now closed so I had to jump them to get out and I ran till I knew I was out of sight and started to just walk.

Dominic's pov
I was waiting for her and I started to get worried than she finally rounded the corner
" oh my god I started to think he caught you "
She smiled
" let me take you home "
" sure "
She said and got in and I didn't remember how to get there so she had to tell me.
We were at the entrance
" Thanks for the ride "
She said as she started to open the door
" come on you saw my house I want to see yours"
She looked me up and down
" not in that "
She said
" what then "
" your shirt "
I closed my eyes and she got changed back into her sweater
" ok here "
She said handing me the black shirt I let her borrow then she turned away as if to make sure no one was watching
" k I'm ready "
She turned around and smiled
" leave the car here "
We got out and as soon as the door shut I locked it and followed her. I looked around as we walked through all of the people sitting outside at tables with mismatched chairs, kids running around, the trailers that were starting to fall apart. We were walking and a guy gave her a thumbs up
" k this is it "
She opened the door and stepped in
" grand right "
She said and waved for me to follow her the place was covered in bottles and other miscellaneous things. She stopped at a door then opened it a little then closed it again then went to another door and went all the way in this time. I stepped in and unlike the rest of the trailer it's was clean with white walls covered in papers, stacks of books and a small clothing rack with a plethora of black clothing
" I saw you're room a little so I thought it would be fair if you saw mine "
The scratchy sketches pinned and taped to the wall, the pictures scattered in between, and tickets to concerts and movies
" I know it looks crazy and extremely small compared to your room"
I turned around and she was looking around like she was a stranger in her own room
" but it's what's I've got so "
Then I heard the screen door open and her face dropped and it was like she ran through every possibility in her head of what could happen next. She went over to her door and opened it a little then quickly closed it leaning against it
" go out the window "
She whispered and then someone started to try an open the door and I couldn't move
" now "
She whisper yelled and I did what she said and when I went out of the window I left it open and I could hear everything.
