I woke up and for a second I forgot what happened the night before but then I heard him snoring. I looked down and he was asleep on my chest and his arms wrapped around my waist we must have moved during the night and it was nice that he was still there and didn't leave me in the bed. I was lightly running my fingers through his hair
" hey "
He said in a raspy sleep coated voice
" hi "
I couldn't help but smile at him
" thank you "
He looked confused but I continued
" thank you for last night ... and for not leaving "
The last word came out as more of a whisper
" I should be the one thanking you "
I rolled my eyes and he put his head back in the spot it was. I couldn't help but think I could get used to this having someone who cares about me someone who thinks about me and not about himself. He moved his head again and said
" will you ever tell me your full name "
" why "
He shrugged a little
" you know mine and I guess I don't know I don't want to introduce you to my parents as just A "
I froze and so did he. I sat up and he followed
" What did you say "
He swallowed hard and I continued
" you want to introduce me the trash from the trailer park to your parents one of whom has already called me a slut and broke part of my hand "
" y-yes "
He stuttered out

I could tell he was looking for the answer but couldn't find it so I said
" you know I've been called many versions of my name and I only want you to know one why is that so strange "

I got up and started to walk to the bathroom.

Dominic's pov
I started to make a list of possible names she walked back out
" Ashley "
She shook her head no

" can I get a hint "

I looked down at the bed

I looked up and her face drained of color

She slowly shook her head, yes but I could tell she was scared in a way

She swallowed hard and she didn't move

She looked up at me and I could see the tears in her eyes. Just when I think I know her she proves me wrong

She gave me a quick smile and came back to the bed and we laid back down. After a minute my phone rang

" dude you need to come to the school now "

" Something happened just come ok "

I hung up and looked at her
" seems like they all got out of the cuffs "
She smiled
" promise to be here when I get back "
" I don't know "
" I'll be back soon "
I ran out of the room and drove off.

I didn't listen to a single word they said I could only think about the way A looked on my bed half-dressed
" any ideas Dominic "
I looked up
" Sorry I don't have anything "
I looked at my phone and said
" Sorry guys my mom needs me to come home "
I ran out and got in my car.
I got home and ran up the stairs to see if she was still there. I opened the door and she was gone I was walking to my bed when she jumped on my back
" I got you "
She laughed and it was completely genuine and I dropped her on to the bed
" so I was thinking "
" About "
I was a little scared
" I haven't paid you back "

She still had a smile on her face

I thought about it and then said
" you don't need to pay me back for that "

I looked at her and I could tell it's what she thought she should do

Her eyes went between mine

She got up and started to walk downstairs and left. It was like I was glued to my bed because I wanted to go after her I wanted her to come back but I couldn't move my eyes from the door or my body from the bed.
