Dominic's pov
I walked back to my car and I was about to leave when I heard some screaming. I looked at the door and A stumbled out with a couple of bags and her mother yelling after her. She walked right past me and after a second I got turned around and started to drive out
" it's hard to see you in all black at night "
I tried to joke with her when I found her
" come on "
She got in and I started to drive.
" turn here "
She said then pointed at a house on the street a couple of blocks from my house.

As pov
He parked and I got out leaving my stuff I'm the car and practically ran up the steps made of rock and knocked on the heavy dark wood door. When it opened my dad looked behind me then back at me and that told me Dom followed
" A come in, please "
He moved and we went in. He came out of the kitchen with his wallet
" how much "
" what "
He looked up at me
" that's why you're here right for money "

He looked up the stairs case
" Are you really that embarrassed by me "
His jaw clenched and I knew he wanted me to be quiet
" what you don't want her to know you have such a screw up as a daughter one that you left might I add "

" what you don't want her to know that you left because you had a kid with someone and left because it was a mistake dad you don't know what she did and what she let happen and I'm not here for a handout "
He put his hand over my mouth

Dom's shaky voice said behind me
" stay out of this "
He spat. A little tired voice said

I looked up and this little girl dressed in pink pajamas holding a stuffed bunny. I quickly pushed him off me and put on a big smile
" ATHENA "
She yelled and ran over to me and hugged me I picked her up and went over to the steps and sat down
"How is Venus doing "
" I missed you "
" yeah ... I haven't seen you for a while how many now "
She held up her hands and put up 6 fingers
" wow "
She looked down at her bunny then back at me
" are you staying "
" no honey I came just to see you "

She had a big smile on her face
" yeah "
" Venue bed "
He said in a half scared half fed up tone
" ok ... bye A "
She gave me a tight hug

She ran back up the stairs and I walked back to the door
" I'm happy to see you've made a better life .. you should really let me see her more we are half-blood ... I'll let you get back to what you were doing "
He gave me a small smile and I yelled
" NIGHT V "
and after a second she yelled back
" NIGHT A "
And I walked out with Dom on my heals.
When we got back in the car I said
" joy isn't he "
Dom didn't speak
" You didn't have to come in with me "
He looked over at me and I could see his eyes turning a little red

He said fighting back the tears stinging his eyes
" you don't have to take me anywhere "
I was about to open the door then he started to drive and I didn't fight him. He pulled into his driveway
" you sure "

" I mean the last time your dad came home and broke my hand "

I said and we went into the house and when we got to his room I said
" you know I can't stay here forever right Dom "

I looked down and said

He put his hands on my cheeks and made me look at him

His eyes went back and forth between mine

I wanted to yell at him for making me feel weak in a way but at the same time, I didn't want to move. He cut me off by pressing his lips to mine and all I could suddenly think about was him the way his eyes looked when they looked into mine the way he acted the only thing on my mind was him.
