"Morning!"

"Morning." Jihoon boredly said.

"Wanna come over later?" I asked while preparing my things on my desk.

"Sure, why not?" He replied.

It has been a month ever since the thing at the rooftop happened. And that was the best month I've ever had.

It felt so complete. Like, I have everything. And that, I can do anything. This is all thanks to Jihoon, if he didn't become my friend, my life would be the same bland everyday I went through.

Because this is my first time having a friend, I'm really clingy. If I feel alone or tired, I'll hug him. I don't know if friends do this but I feel really comfortable hugging him or talking to him, does he?

Oh no, what if he doesn't like it?

"Mom! I'm home!" I shouted.

"Welcome home, dea- Oh, who's this?"

"Good afternoon, Mrs. Kwon. I'm Lee Jihoon, Soonyoung's friend." Jihoon introduced himself.

"Oh, you're a friend." Mom looked at me, confused. "Soonyoung, dear, is there something you're not telling me?" My mother whispered.

I looked at her while rubbing my nape and shifted my gaze onto Jihoon.

I took Jihoon's hand and ran to my room.

"Stay there, don't come out. Please." I pleadingly said to him. He just nodded, probably confused on what's happening.

I went downstairs and faced my mother who is now angry at me.

"First, you brought a 'friend' into our house. Then, you ignored me? What is happening to you?!" Mom blurted out, hands on her hips. I can see from her eyes that she's really angry, I feel guilty.

"Let me explain." I started. "Do you still remember the day I asked you what would happen if someone can read my handwriting?" I looked at her, waiting for an answer. She lifted an eyebrow, I'll take that as a yes.

"Well, that someone is him. He can read it and he's not making fun of me. He doesn't think that I'm a freak, he trusts me." I stared at her eyes, expecting a yelling but it didn't happen.

She just stood there for a solid minute and smiled.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier? You don't have to take him away, I was just curious. Now, bring him down. We'll have dinner." She joyfully said.

I just nodded, confused. What? My mother was shouting at me a minute ago and now she's cheerful. What happened?
