hyunjin hasn't been to the magic shop in a few days, he was busy studying for midterms.

it was eleven pm and he decided to take a break, he was studying on a saturday, after all. he went down to the convenience store nearby to buy something to eat. he bought an instant ramen bowl as well as triangle kimbap and bottled water.

he sat down by the window to eat. as he ate a familiar figure caught his eye. without realizing, he ran out, stopping the person.

"eunha?"

"yes?" the person replied, turning around.

"you- you left the shop?" he asked, and she nods her head. "yeah."

"why?"

"i have business to attend to." she replied.

"oh."

the two stood awkwardly waiting for the other to say something. "so.. i'm just gonna go.." said eunha.

"oh, yeah. i'll see you."

eunha smiled before turning her heels, walking away. he wanted to call out and ask but knew it wasn't his place and didn't want to be nosy. hyunjin went back into the convenience store and sat down to continue eating.

"good thing i didn't throw it away." said chan, the part-timer. hyunjin had gotten to know him because of the many times he's been to the convenience store to eat. "who was the girl?"

"just someone." hyunjin replies, from the corner of his eye he sees a smile form on chan's face but the smile quickly disappeared when hyunjin turned to him.

"if you're gonna make fun of me just do it." he says and chan shakes his head, "nah. it's no fun when you're expecting it."

moments later the door opens and chan greets the customer. "hyunjin!" said a familiar voice. turning his head, he sees eunha. "let's watch a movie." she says.

"at the shop?" hyunjin asked.

eunha shakes her head, "at a theater. it's late so there shouldn't be a lot of people."

"didn't you say you had business to attend to?"

"i changed my mind, lets go!"

looking over eunhas shoulder hyunjin eyed chan. when they made eye contact chan shrugged his shoulders. "okay then."

"i'll throw your stuff away." said chan.

"no hyung, it's fine—"

"i'm getting paid for throwing your trash away, just leave before i change my mind." said chan, making hyunjin smile. "thanks, i'll buy you pizza next time!" said hyunjin before leaving.

the two walked side by side to the theater. "what should we watch?" asked hyunjin.

"hmm, i don't know. we'll see when we get there."

when they arrived they settled on a horror movie, even though hyunjin hated them. eunha admitted to being scared of them but enjoyed watching them anyways.

the two entered the empty theater and chose their seats. the two hours and twenty something minutes they spent in the theater consisted of them covering their eyes and screaming as loud as they could since no one was around.

"i have goosebumps." said hyunjin, looking at his arm as they left the theater.

eunha giggled, "you screamed louder than i did."

"it came out of nowhere!" hyunjin exclaimed, attempting to defend himself.

"it's a jump scare, it's suppose to come out of nowhere. for a top student you're kinda dumb."

hyunjin rolls his eyes at her comment "where are you going now?"

"back to the shop, i guess. you?"

"home."
