the lunch bell rang signaling for all the students to head to the cafeteria. eunha waited until everyone left before she could take her own lunch out.

"moon eunha! you know you're not supposed to eat in the classroom, go to the cafeteria." said her korean history teacher, who passed by.

eunha sighed and put her lunch at her desk. she took her phone and her earphones from her backpack and left the classroom. she went inside the bathroom and checked all the stalls, making sure no one else was inside.

when she chose the stall of her preference, she locked it and sat down on the cold toilet seat. plugging in her earphones, she adjusted the volume so that it wasn't too loud. she wanted to still be able to hear the next bell so she knew lunch was over.

she sighed again and thought "what has my life come to."

eunha fluttered her eyes, adjusting them to the light. she had dreamed of when she was in high school and sat alone in the bathroom stalls during lunch.

"how depressing," she said to herself.

it was 9:00 in the morning. eunha started her day as she always did; wash up, wear makeup, eat, and open up the store. after she flipped the sign to "open" she walked behind the register. as she waited for costumers she opened her laptop and textbook for her daily lesson.

an hour later the bell above the door rung, "welcome." she said. she looked up and saw one of her boss' partners, "mr hoseok! you're here early."

hoseok warmly smiled, "i have business to attend to later on today so i decided to come earlier. i'm not interrupting your studies, am i?"

eunha shook her head, "no, of course not! what can i get for you today?"

he thought for a second. "it's like an um—" he begins to make hand movements attempting to describe it. "it's like a diffuser. just an old ancient version of one." knowing exactly what he was talking about, eunha walked towards a table that had it on display. bringing it over to hoseok she asked, "is this it?"

"yes!" taking out an envelope, and giving it to her, hoseok thanked eunha before taking the diffuser and leaving.

eunha sighed. the magic shop didn't have as many customers and they didn't stay for very long. the only ones that came regularly other than hyunjin were her boss' business partners who ran their own antique shops. hoseok was one of her favorites because of his bright personality, he was a walking ray of sunshine.

for the rest of the day eunha mostly watched online lectures and education videos for studying while greeting customers passing by. a few decided to stay longer so she showed them the upstairs loft. when they left however, she was lonely again.

she had finished the lectures and went back behind the register. looking down at her phone, she hears the bell above the door jingle. "welcome to byeoljari antique shop." she says.

"eunha!" said the voice of a regular customer. eunha didn't realize but her eyes lit up when she heard the sound of his voice. she cleared her throat, "yes hyunjin?"

"i had another test today and i feel like dying. if only i was legal i would be able to drown my sorrows in alcohol," he complained.

"unless.." eunha started off, she knew namjoon had a wine cellar downstairs, but he would literally kill her if she told anyone. "never mind," she says.

hyunjin furrowed his eyebrows, suspicious at her quickly changing her mind. shrugging it off he says, "i'm going upstairs."

"want me to make tea?" eunha asked, and without turning around hyunjin replies with, "yes please." without realizing her long mediocre day was about to be a little less boring.
