"moon eunha!" eunha woke up to the familiar voice echoing throughout the shop.
namjoon must be back. she thought.
she got out of bed and made her way to the shop entrance.
"hey boss-lord." she tells namjoon. "boss-lord" was her nickname to him, it's "boss" and "landlord" together since she lives and works under him.
"hello tenant and worker that doesn't pay rent or get paid, help me with all this stuff," he replies. there was a number of boxes behind him; eunha assumed they were new antiques. namjoon was often gone collecting them from who knows where.
after she finished she tells namjoon about the dreams she's been having. "so i've been having dreams about my old life lately. like last night it was when i used to eat alone at lunch, and before that it was me coming home to an empty house."
"maybe it means it's time for you to go back." said namjoon.
eunha rolls her eyes, "haha nice try but i'm never leaving, because what would you do without me?"
"i wouldn't be away all the time trying to avoid you is what i'll be doing," he retorts.
eunha was used to namjoons sarcastic comments because deep down she knew he cared about her; he was one of the few who did.
"any costumers lately?" he asked, taking out an old record player, blowing the dust off it.
eunha coughed and waved her hand in front of her face because namjoon purposely blew the dust in her direction. "not as much. there's one that comes by often but he doesn't buy anything." eunha decided to leave out the part where she gave hyunjin the necklace for free.
namjoon scoffed, "he's not a customer then, get rid of him. why does he stop by?" once namjoon realized what he said he raises his eyebrows and gives eunha a look.
eunha furrows her eyebrows, "why are you looking at me like that, pervert?"
namjoon grinned, "he's here for you isn't he?"
"i- no! he just has trouble at home and stuff and he's stressed? isn't this place for those people?"
"yeah, but no one comes by more than at least three times. i'd like to meet him."
"why?!" eunha exclaimed.
namjoon points at her with his index finger, "because of that reaction right there. you can't hide anything from me eunha, you're so predictable. you probably have a crush on him."
"i do not! i just... enjoy his company. it gets lonely here, but you wouldn't know cause you're always gone!"
"cause i'm busy?" namjoon says in a matter of fact tone, "and you know you like him. did you forget that i'm not human and i have powers that can make you tell me the truth but i don't use them on you cause i already know."
eunha deeply sighed. she hated when namjoon was right. when she was about to say something back the bell above the door jingled.
"hey, aren't you usually open, why does the sign say closed?" said hyunjin as he walked in. talk about timing.
with raised eyebrows, namjoon looks at eunha, then at hyunjin, then back at eunha.
"oh hello. im hyunjin, i'm eunhas friend!" he introduced himself.
"kim namjoon. i'm the owner."
hyunjin stiffened for some reason when namjoon introduced himself. he felt like he was meeting his girlfriend's dad for the first time even though eunha wasn't his girlfriend and namjoon wasn't her dad.
"thank you." hyunjin said, without thinking.
namjoon raises his eyebrows, "hm? i'm sorry, what was that?"
"i- uh, no it's, it's just the shop," hyunjin stammered, "it's helped me. a lot."
namjoon smiled showing deep dimples at the corner of his lips. "i'm glad. well, i'm just gonna put some stuff away. you kids have fun." namjoon picks up a cardboard box and leaves the room.
with namjoon leaving the room hyunjin felt like he could finally breathe, and eunha bursts into a fit of laughter.
"what?" hyunjin asked.
"you were so awkward!" she says, clutching her stomach.
hyunjin shivered. "there's something intimidating about him. he can't put a curse on me can he?"
eunha shrugged her shoulders, "he might. i don't think he will though, it's a lot of work. anyway, why're you here?"
"because i wanna go somewhere."
eunha slowly nods her head, "okay."
"with you." hyunjin finished.
"where?" eunha asked, with a skeptical look on her face.
hyunjin smiles, "don't worry, you'll love it."
