A/N: Sorry I haven't updated for a while! I've been super busy with school and stuff to really write (if you can call this real literature). :( But I promise to upload whenever I can!
Aaaaaand it's time for a regeneration! Since Doctor Who has been off hiatus, I've been pondering ideas for what I could do to transition between 11 and 12. This was the end result.
The Doctor regenerates. Sam and Dean do not know what regenerating is. They are confuzzled.
Sam, Dean, Sherlock, and John are hanging out at Baker Street when the TARDIS appears.
Doctor and Clara: (Come out of TARDIS)
Sam: Hey Clara. Who's that?
Clara: What do you mean who's that? That's the Doctor.
Dean: Doctor Who? There's only one doctor I know without any other name, and it's not him.
Sherlock: *Sighs* I'm guessing you haven't told them about regeneration yet.
Dean: Regene- what?
Cas: You know, the action or process of regenerating or being regenerated, in particular the formation of new animal or plant tissue.
Sam: Yeah, I know what it means, but how does a person regenerate?
Doctor: I'm not a person, I'm a Timelord. And whenever Timelords die, instead of really dying we just take on a new body.
Sam: So you just- change?
Doctor: Pretty much.
Sherlock: How is this a foreign concept to you? The Doctor had mentioned dying multiple times in conversation before.
Dean: Yeah, well we die on a regular basis.
Cas: Dean, you have dies 113 times, to be exact.
Dean: How do you know that?
Cas: Because I am an angel. I know all.
Sam: Then tell me who Beyonce is.
Cas: ... Okay, maybe I don't know all.
John: ...
Clara: John, you've been awfully quiet this entire time. What's on your mind?
John: I'm just realizing I'm the only one in this room who hasn't died before.
Clara: ...
Doctor: ...
Sherlock: ...
Sam: ...
Dean: ...
Cas: ...
Clara: Oh my god you're right.
