Mukuro killed Kyoko. No remorse. No guilt. How dare Kyoko even try to ruin Junko's life. Mukuro, being the Ultimate Soldier, killed Kyoko without leaving any evidence. Unfortunate for Mukuro, someone took a photo of her crime.

Before the murder, Junko was talking with Taeko, Chihiro and Hifumi. Stating:
"Mukuro despises Kyoko, I don't know why though. She once was rambling and rambling and then randomly started talking about how she would want to kill Kyoko, after classes near the storage room. I don't know..Maybe she was just mad for some reason.." And the rumor got out to a few people. No one was brave enough to ask Mukuro, but there wasn't enough evidence to tell Kyoko. Even Makoto didn't know what to believe.

Snap!, made the sound of the witness' phone, taking the picture of Mukuro killing Kyoko. "Shit. I forgot to turn off the sound, but it doesn't seem like she noticed." the eyewitness thought. They ran to a group of people. It was Makoto and Byakuya.
- Junko!, called out Makoto to the witness. The observer of Mukuro's crimes was none over than, Junko Enoshima.
- M-Makoto!, Junko was breathing heavily, making her put her hands on her knees.
- Is something..wrong?, Byakuya asked to the female.
Junko just took out her phone, found the app gallery and showed them photos she took.
- Is that - Makoto was interrupted by the Heir.
- Mukuro Ikusaba?
The photo was of inside the storage room, Mukuro standing, only visible her back, she was holding a bloody knife and in front of her, it was hard to see, but it was Kyoko Kirigiri dead. Barely open eyes and then they were dead like. Her hands, as usual, covered by her gloves. However the most striking detail was the huge bleeding scar on Kyoko's neck. It was red fresh ugly blood.
Makoto stepped back after seeing that image. Almost falling, but catching himself before he could. Byakuya seeing how Makoto was, he quickly took the lead.
- We must tell the others!
That confident and masculine voice woke back Makoto. Immediately agreeing with him. On the other hand, as confident Byakuya's voice can be. He didn't know what he was doing. Murder was impossibly rare. Yet it happened to his best friend. Unfortunate, really.
The two males and the female ran to the cafeteria, that was where most were after classes, and explained the situation. Of course not everyone was there, but it was good enough for them. They all agreed to go to the murder scene to try and find Mukuro and also hopefully try to get Kyoko back. When Makoto was close to the storage room he slowed down. Not confidently walking to the door when he heard footsteps to his side. A gentle smile from Byakuya to Makoto, reassuring him it'll all be okay. And maybe Kyoko's still alive, but in pain. Which motivated him to open the door, when...
Makoto felt a pain to his knees. Not surprisingly, he did fell to the ground harshly after seeing Kyoko's lifeless body. It was disgusting, awful and just gruesome. So many emotions swirling through his mind. Hate. Confusion. Grief. Despair. They were all happy together. And then this? Was this even possible? Is he dreaming a horrific nightmare? He didn't scream nor cry. Makoto wanted to look away so badly, but he couldn't. As if the world was mocking him. Laughing at him.
He only got back on earth when he was standing up, and not by will, but from Byakuya picking him up. "Kyoko...Kyoko! No, I need to se-" Makoto's teary eyes and mouth were shut when a hand covered his eyes. More specifically Byakuya's hand.
