I step into the kitchen and tumble onto the floor.
" Oh my god Genevieve!" My mother yelps.
I get off the floor and wink. " All good mom..."
"No your not!" She half whimpered, half growled.
"Well! Whatever I am, I need to get to school."
"And breakfast?" My mom handed me a cereal bar and I grunted.
I rush out the door and run to the bus stop. On the bus I saw lots of people staring at me and I just shrugged and moved to the back seat. Not really caring who I would sit next to. I turn my head to see a guy staring at me. "Er...Hi." I say.
"Name's Lucas!" He smiles wiith bright teeth and gives me a smirk. "Let me guess....you're....the new girl....Genevieve! That's right Genevieve!" Now everyone on the bus was staring at us.
"Hah yeah." I blushed and looked at him. I liked him but I wasn't in love. I felt like I wanted to be his best friend. "Want to listen to music?" I brought out my iPod.
"Oh cool. Yeah that's great. I had an iPod once but it broke." He shrugged and put the earbud in his hear. The whole ride to school he was jamming out to Lana Del Ray and Marina and the diamonds, AKA my favorites.
About fourty-five minutes later we reached our school. He took my hand and led me out. "Well here we are," he grinned, "Welcome to Central High School.
I was in awe. The school was so huge. My jaw was dropped I completely forgot anyone was there so someone ran into me. She was a scrawny brunette with hipster glasses and a beanie. "S-sorry" I muttered and turned to Lucas.
"Clarice. She's always frightened. She gets bullied a lot, I try to talk to her but she's to frightened." I could feel Lucas' sadness and I pulled him into the school.
"What do you have first period? I don't know where to go." I murmered and looked at my schedule.
"English. You?" He questioned.
"The same." I answered happily.
We walked to class and it was kind of boring. Nothing happened except I figured out Lucas had a girlfriend. They kept exchanging glances and looks and awkward faces. I just rolled my eyes.
I noticed how so many had complicated love lives and all that crap. I thought to myself am I developing one of these? I put my head down and waited for the 9th period bell to ring.
After it rung I was relieved and I walked to the bus stop. "Were you even paying attention in 9th period?" Lucas grinned.
"What about you in 1st? You never told me about her. Does she have a name?" I gave him a reenactment of what he looked like making faces and we laughed.
"Her name is Alisha. But I don't know if she loves me. She's always flirting with other guys." Lucas shrugged and I hugged him
At that moment I saw Alisha walk outside the school. She looked mad. She ran up to the both of us and started beating the crap out of me. "BACK OFF SCUMBAG!" She growled like a bear.
Light started turning into darkness and I groaned. I heard Lucas and Alisha yelling but I was still being punched. No matter how hard Lucas yelled Alisha would not stop and I blacked out.
