The time moved slowly and we cuddled on the bench next to the river for about an hour.
"It's getting dark." I nuzzle his arm with my head and he kisses it.
"Yeah." He replied in a whisper with his arm around me.
"I don't care." I smiled and put my foot in the water. "Want to go for a swim?"
"Okay." He chuckled and got up.
I took of my shirt and my shorts, shoes and socks and ran in leaving splashed on Lucas. His face was red and he started to do the same.
We laughed together and smiled at the sunset. This was better than before, peaceful and romantic.
He leaned into me for a kiss and I tumbled into the water, laughing uncontrolably. We sat in the cold, murky water and kissed. "I'm sorry." I looked into his eyes.
"For what?" He wrapped his arms around me and I was instantly warm.
"Being... violent." I looked down at my feet and felt guilty.
"I don't blame you." He pulled my face to his and looked into my eyes. Are noses touched and then our lips.
An hour later we got back into our clothes and walked to Lucas' car. He pulled me by my hand and got down on one knee.
"Oh my god Lucas." I started to panic. I can't get married!
"This isn't an engagement ring." He smiled at me and I smiled back. "It's a promise." He slipped the ring on my finger and it had today's date on it.
"I love you." I wiped my eyes and hugged him.
