AUDREY NORMAN AND LUKE HOLBROOK WERE IN LOVE ONCE. It all started in sixth grade when Audrey moved to West Ham, and had to sit alone at lunch because she knew no one. So, being the kind person that he is, Luke decided to sit with her at lunch, wanting to make a new friend. They connected instantly, which lead to them hanging out everyday after school and being insperable during recess and lunch. They officially started dating in the fall of eighth grade, when they had their "eighth grade dance" and Luke decided to kiss Audrey. (They liked each other way before that, it was just a matter of when one of them would speak up about it).
A few years later, they went their separate ways. They were growing apart, and their relationship wasn't the same anymore. Luke started to see a girl named Helena, while Audrey focused solely on her music. They never talked about the breakup, so their feelings about it were never spoken about.
Until one day, while the senior class was heading out for their weekend trip, everything changed. They were sent back home, only to realize that their parents weren't around, and it was just them. Chaos erupted, while people scrambled around to figure out what the hell was going on. It was a mess, and the game of survival was about to arise. That included strength, love and weakness. And those were some things Audrey Norman wasn't great at. With the help of some friends and guidance, she was going to have to fight for herself, no matter how hard it was going to be.

— this is inspired from "happier" by ed sheeran & the title cannot change!
— luke & audrey broke up in the start of the summer before senior year, because they were growing apart and they weren't like they used to be. it was sad for both of them, but audrey was optimisic about it (i'll explain in the next bullet point).
— audrey tends to have optimistic thoughts, even if the situation turns out to be a complete and utter disaster. after they broke up, she held onto the hope that the two would eventually meet again later down the line, and be together forever. that thought was kind of tampered with the fact that luke and helena were still together for a long time. audrey's also in denial about the fact that luke moved on & is in love with someone else.
— the two haven't talked since the breakup, but when they're transported into the other universe, they kind of have to. but it's very awkward, so make sure to include that in their small conversations.
— when luke and helena make the announcement that they're getting married at thanksgiving (i believe that's when they tell everyone). that's the moment that hits audrey & makes her realize that luke has moved on, and they're never going to be together again. it causes her to run out and back to her house, sobbing. she doesn't like having attention be all on her, so running out and crying really embarrasses her.
— & luke sees her run out, and he wants to run after her, but he doesn't and he stands there, frozen and watching her go away.
— the two have a loud argument about the breakup, and then spend time apart. there should be a scene where it's just the two of them, looking out at sunset and a peaceful closure to their relationship. audrey should kiss him on the cheek and reassure him that it's alright, then walking away with tears in her eyes (this is before allie is taken away and lexie is mayor of new ham).
— audrey is a very optimisc, bright girl. she has a lot of friends, but she is especially close with grizz and elle, and elle's the one to go comfort audrey when she runs out on thanksgiving. because of how close elle and audrey are, she really hates campbell, and isn't afraid to show it.
— if there is no s2, then i wouldn't have them end up together, and i would end the story there. however, if there is, and somethin happens between helena and luke, then they can BUT THEY MUST BE A VERY SLOWBURN!! it's honestly your choice on how you want to end the story, just let me know first.
