Mellindas P.O.V

We found a place to sleep and set up a fire and tents from the tarp we had packed before the big grounder fight. I stayed close with Bell when Octavia asked to speak to me alone. She pulled me aside from the group
"Hey... I don't want to pry but what happened in the woods back there? Finns pretty badly beat" she said as I looked down and bit my lip
"He tried to do something.... but Bell stopped him"
Her fists clenched and she huffed loudly
"God what a fucking dick, I didn't think he was capable of that, I'm so sorry Mell"
"It's fine really... I just hate seeing Clarke and Raven helping him... if only they knew what he did"
"Maybe they should know" she said more angrily
"I don't want any more drama to start, we need to stay strong as a group right now" I said and she nodded in agreement.
Raven looked over at us and I saw her coming over as I shifted weight on my feet.
"So are you gonna explain what happened to my boyfriend!" She said angrily. I looked at Octavia and she took control of the situation.
"If you want to know, ask him"
"I did ask smartass and he just says it was a grounder but no way you guys wouldn't tell us if there was a grounder following us" she spat "so why the fuck did one of you beat him to a pulp?"
"Look your boyfriend isn't who you think he is, he's got some issues Raven and I think you need to talk to him about it" I say
"What? Do you like him or something? Did Bell catch you flirting with him is that it?!" She starts raising her voice. "No Raven I swear that's not what it......"
"You fucking whore, you sleep with all those people on the arc, oh yea Clarke and Finn told me about your so called horrible past, that's all bullshit isn't it, you're just a dirty fucking whore who got bored of Bell and wanted to fuck my man!"
Im not fucking listening to this. After all I've done to protect our group and help our group this is how I get fucking treated. Fuck this. Im done.

Octavias P.O.V

"Woah Raven back the fuck off you don't know what the fuck happened okay so fuck off" I raise my voice as I see Mell blindly walking into the woods. Raven spits by my feet and walks away. "Lincoln" I said turning around to see that he has come to me "Octavia if we can get to her this is our opportunity to get away" I knew he was right. We wanted to get away for a while but I didn't want to leave Mellinda or Bell, I think after everything's happened though that we would be better off without the rest of the group and Mell seemed well and truely done. "She won't leave without Bell" I say
"Then let's go talk to him" Lincoln says. We search the camp but can't find him, we grab our already packed bags and set off into the woods to find Mell.
We hear two voices in the distance, it's Mell and Bell but they didn't sound like they were happy
"I can't fucking do this anymore Bell, I'm sick of seeing all these people whose dads hurt me, I'm sick of being judged and not appreciated for everything I've done for our group. None of you know what I've been through to protect our fucking group. I was fucking tortured Bell but they treat me like trash. Why can't we just leave! Why won't you come with me!" Mell screamed
"Mell I know it's hard.."
"No you don't Bell, don't pretend you do. You still have no idea what it was like for me in the Arc and you will never have any idea what it is like for me down here" she spat back interrupting him
"Okay I don't know, but there people need us, both of us. I can't abandon them Mell they'll die if we don't all work together"
"So you'll stay and let me suffer in silence? That's what you want me to do? You want me to hide all my feelings, try not to want to kill Finn or Clarke or Raven when I see them, try not yell and fuck up anyone who pisses me off. I have to do that for you when you can't even THINK about leaving for me?" She sounded so defeated. Suddenly they both stopped and hid behind trees just as we saw grounders approaching. Lincoln climbed a tree then helped me up so we could get a better look at the situation. Two grounders grabbed Mellinda and Raven was now being held too, where the fuck did she come from. They both now had knives at thier throats and Bellamy was screaming to let them go. I guess some grounders werent fighting the day we blew them to a crisp. A grounder I had never seen before stepped forwards and I assumed he was the leader. I feared for Mellinda cause she wasnt in a good head space
"Choose" the grounder said "one of them dies and one of them lives.... you can chose the one who makes bombs and can fix things or the one who is a budding medic who has saved your group more times than you can imagine.... one will help destroy us.... the other... well she will keep protecting you"
Bellamy screamed in frustration.
"Bell...l Mellinda said with tears streaming from her eyes
"5" Lincoln spoke up "5 grounders... We can take em" we climbed down the tree silently and waited, watching and listening.
"I said choose"
"Mell" Bell said with no hesitation
The grounder holding Raven let her go and she ran to Bellamys side
"Choice made"the grounder spat.
Melts eyes widened and Bell screamed
"NO I CHOSE MELL LET HER GO!!!"
"Do I get to say any last words" Mell asked
"of course" the grounder said
"Bellamy Blake... I love you.. never forget that. Please keep my memory alive, please don't shut down, look after Octavia and Lincoln and protect the group, it's the right decision"
"You want to see this?" The grounder asked as raven ran off and Bell stayed standing right where he was, tears streaming from his face
Mellinda was pushed down so she was kneeling and she looked up at Bell, then we made eye contact
She sees me
Suddenly Mell changes, her eyes widened. She was gonna fight. Mell spun around and kicked the grounder behind her down so he fell straight off his feet, thats when Lincoln and I ran in. I killed two of them and Lincoln killed the others in a matter of seconds, he had been training me. Mellinda got up and ran to Bell as they embraced each other and kissed passionately through their tears.
Bell fell to the ground still holding Mell as he broke down
"I thought I lost you, I thought I would never see you again" he said... and just as he did.... she was gone
