Chapter 13 ✅

I woke up with my arms and legs tied together and I struggled to get the gag out of my mouth. I was at the site of the drop ship.. fire was all around me and charred skeletons. I struggled to try get up and surprisingly the rope was tied lose enough that I could now it off. I attempted to stand but my legs were weak and I tumbled down a hill gained a few more cuts and bruises. Just what I needed. I tried again to stand but it was no use, my body was failing and I couldn't do anything about it so I succumbed to the darkness.

Bellamys P.O.V

I was at the spot I had been knocked out when Mellinda was taken when a drop ship fell from the sky and exploded on a hill. Clarkes mum was meant to be on that dropship. I ran back to camp to find Finn cradling Clarke who had collapsed in tears, I almost felt bad for her. Octavia and Jasper ran up to me and I took about 10 others including Clarke and Raven and we headed to the crash site. When we were there all I could see was charred skulls and small fires. Clarke was studying each skeleton looking for closure when she neared a tank and Raven began yelling telling her to keep away from it. She dipped a rock in a purple liquid and yelled fire in the hole before throwing it in a fire causing a mini explosion. "Everybody out.. guns are too hot, we'll come back tomorrow and we can salvage this liquid when it's stable to make some bombs!" She yelled to us all. We had hardly been here and what if the grounders came. Then what? We can't shoot? As I was heading back with the group I notice a small puddle of blood which I didnt think could be possible cause everything was burned and I swear I heard a groaning but the group yelled at me to catch up so I let it go and left until tomorrow.

The next morning people started getting sick and Clarke began making a quarantine in the drop ship. Murphy hadn't escaped, the grounders let him out to bring us a sickness that has killed one person so far. Clarke stayed behind and I took a small group of uninfected people back to the now completely cold and black crash site. When we got there Raven began collecting some of the purple goop.

I wandered off by myself, my mind occupied with how I still hadn't properly looked for Mellinda and everyone else had seemed to just forget about her. Suddenly I heard a loud groan and I told everyone to stay on the look out, maybe someone survived or the crash had possibly taken some grounder victims as well. I saw the puddle of blood from yesterday near a steep hill and heard the groan again but louder. I ran down the hill armed with my gun ready and aimed at what I would find.. but instead of finding a grounder. I found Mellinda

Mellindas P.O.V

I groaned in pain as I began waking up. I hear leaves and sticks cracking and getting louder and fear sets in. I opened my eyes at who I thought would be a grounder in fear that they would hurt me but it was just Bellamy... OMG BELLAMY!!! His eyes grew wide and he rushed over dropping his gun as he knelt down and held me in his arms as I began to cry. As he squeezed tighter I winced in pain and he looked at my wounds in anger before I held his face so he was looking at me, he cupped my cheeks and kissed me full of passion. Our tears melting into the kiss making it salty. He pulled away and smiled then yelled "Guys get down here I found Mellinda!" Jasper and Octavia ran down and looked at me in shock. They also embraced me as I winced again as they're grips were so tight. I started falling in and out of consciousness again from exhaustion and I remember people being scared, happy and worried every time they saw me. I remember being carried by Bellamy and I remember feeling completely safe when I looked in his eyes.
When I finally woke up I was feeling much better and rested and I was in the drop ship, a young guy was lying next to me with an arrow in his leg and chest. Blood was all over the walls and everyone who walked past had dry blood on thier faces and hands. What the fuck happened?!? Octavia and Bellamy walked over ignoring the young boy in pain next to me
"Im so glad you're awake and okay!" Octavia exclaimed as she and Bellamy knelt beside me. I sat up slightly and my tummy rumbled quite loudly.
Bellamy handed me a bag of nuts and berries and I scoffed them down and gulped down a bottle of water. They sat looking at me with serious faces and I felt like something was wrong.
"Mell.. you're wounds are pretty messy.. Youre gonna need to get the cautorised" Octavia said to me
Ugh, could they at least give me alcohol before we went and did this. I groaned at them and they chuckled a bit but I began coughing furiously. Bellamy got worried and was instantly protective. Every breath hurt
"wheres clarke?" I croaked out
"Missing... and so is finn" wait what? ! "How long was I out" I asked Octavia "2days" she replied
What?! what happened why I was out, why is there blood everywhere?!"
"Well.. the drop ship crashed, we kinda blew up a bridge and Murphy is here.. he ran from grounders but carried a virus and we all got sick and vommmited blood"
what! They blew up a bridge! But more shockingly Murphy is back! And Bellamy hasn't killed him yet? I don't trust this at all.
"Guys I'm tired" I whispered
"Here" Bellamy tucked a blanket over me and Octavia left the dropship. "Water..." the boy next to me croaked out, I looked at Bellamy and nodded telling him ill be fine and to get him some water. A few minutes had gone by since I had a little power nap but I woke up to see Murphy with a Gun to jasper. Jasper looked at me with wide eyes and I stayed as frozen as possible, all of a sudden the drop ship door opened and he kicked Jasper out and Bellamy strode in. Murphy hadnt noticed me and Bellamy signaled to keep it that way. I was so exhausted and I couldn't quite make out what they were saying but Murphy was making Bellamy tie a nose. Bellamy should have killed him when he first saw him. I heard movement underneath us and Murphy started shooting the ground under us making me jump in shock and almost wake me up more. He made Bellamy stand on a box and put his neck in the nose. The drop ship door started to open and Murphy frantically pushed the box from under Bell and climbed into the next hatch locking it behind him. It took all my might but I stood up and tried to push Bellamy up so the pressure was off his neck. When the drop ship door finally opened, Jasper ran back in when the doors opened and lifted Bell while I cut down the rope before collapsing next to where Bellamy had fallen. He coughed and got out of the noose and Jasper gave him a big hug saying thankyou. Bellamy climbed the ladder and banged on the hatch above "theres no escape murphy" he yelled in a croaky voice. We heard a BANG and I jolted upright. The hatch unlocked and bellamy climbed up but back down again fast saying he had run away. He kneeled next to me defeated and angry and I cried into him saying sorry over and over. I felt so guilty for not helping sooner. He shushed me with a passionate kiss as I relaxed in his arms.

A day had gone by and I had bitten through a belt while getting my wounds cauterised, I had bandages covering my wounds and I could breathe without pain, hugging didn't hurt so much but the bruises were still fresh. I was in the drop ship cleaning with Octavia when Bellamy came in asking to see me, he helped me up and I stumbled nearly falling over only to land in his arms. He brung our lips together and Octavia yelled at us to get a room. I laughed and broke the kiss "we will" Bellamy said and winked and proceeded to lift me up bridal style and carry me into his tent. We took off our jackets and boots and lay in his bed as he kissed me ever so slightly before I fell asleep in his arms.
