Lexi Brooks recently moved from Africa to Los Angeles California to start college life.
She had everything planned, good grades, have fun and no mistakes. Jace Callahan was not planned. Lexi is soon thrown into a world of love, bad boys and her wors...
"I can't believe you did this." I'm standing in the parking lot by Pervert's car and glaring at him.
He shrugs.
"What? She said it was ok."
"You took advantage of her shyness!" He smiles at me and winks. He's so aggravating!!
"Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't. When did she say she would be here?" He changes the topic and glances at his watch for about the tenth time.
"She said in 5 minutes."
"It's been like 30 minutes." I roll my eyes at his impatient behaviour.
"It's only been three minutes." I point out. He looks at me like I just run out of an asylum.
"Exactly! 3 whole minutes! She should have been here after one minute." I'm about to retort when Riley appears.
"Hi guys. Hope I'm not late."
"Well yes-"
"No you're on time." I cut him off. He mumbles something about girls needing to know how to hurry up and climbs into the drivers seat. I take the passenger seat and Riley sits at the back.
"So Riley, where to?" I turn round to ask. She seems to be more excited than shy since our talk this afternoon.
"Well, I was hoping we could stop by my house to grab a few things first."
"Ok where's your house?" At my question she turns red and looks down.
"Come on Riley. Where's your house?" She looks at me again, sighs then rubs her neck.
"Ummm, Madison Park."
"HOLY SHI-"
"Finish that sentence, and I'll finish you Pervert. Now what's so special about Madison Park?" Jace glances at me with a shocked expression.
"It's the richest neighborhood in Seattle. Like, millionaires and billionaires live there only. The houses are huge!! And Riley, why didn't you mention this before?!"
She scowls a little at Jace then takes a deep breath.
"Because I didn't want people acting like...well like this!" She gestures at Jace's frantic look.
"Well, I live at Hawthorne Hills."
"I'm in a car with two rich girls. Just...kill me now." Jace murmurs and we giggle.
"Where do you live?" I ask, still laughing.
"Wallingford."
"That place is cozy." Riley pipes up. Jace shoots her glare and we both burst into giggles again.
Soon, everyone is quiet. But it's a comfortable sort of silence. When I start to dose off, Jace gently shakes me.
"Don't you know the saying 'Disturb my sleep and I'll kill you'?"
He chuckles at me and smiles.
"We're here Princess."
I look out of the window and my jaw nearly falls off. I knew Madison Park is full of rich people, but the houses?! Gaaaddddd. We are currently in parked in a drive way that is only slightly smaller than the school parking lot. There's a huge fountain in the middle so that you have to drive round it. At the top of the fountain is a lion cub, spewing out water as it roars. Cute.
The house is huge, and painted white (no surprise) with huge ebony front doors.
"Come on Lexi, lets go." Riley pulls me out of the car into the driveway. I'm still dazed as she walks us to the front door, takes keys out of her pocket and unlocks the door.
The inside is even more posh. At this point I think I might faint. The living room was so huge, I'm pretty sure it would put the White House to shame. But Riley didn't give me the opportunity to gaze upon this wonder and instead dragged me upstairs to her half-the-size-of-a-football-pitch room.
I heard a disoriented grunt from Jace. I think he was disturbed from the wonder too.
"Just sit on the bed or something I'll be right back." Riley instructs as she enters a walk-in closet.
I sit on the bed and actually sink in it. It's that soft! Before I know it I'm engulfed in pillows and the mattress.
"Hey Princess! You can't leave me behind. I want to join Soft Heaven too!" And Jace does the worst possible thing ever. He jumps onto me.
And I scream.
And he just laughs.
I glare at him.
"Pervert."
"Princess." I'm about to let loose a string of insults when Riley comes back and stops in her tracks. Her eyes scan the situation, before filling with humour.
"Don't you dare." I warn her, trying to sit up with Jace still on me. He's so heavy, like 150 pounds.
"Hey! It's all muscle not fat." Oops! Must have said out loud. And this time, Riley laughs.
"Just help me get him off me then let's go." Her shoulders are still shaking as she pulls Jace off me then me off her bed.
"Ok, P&P, let's hit the road." I am so confused. What or who the heck is P&P?
"Oh, and just so you know, you guys, are P&P, Princess and Pervert. Or maybe I should make it PP?"
"No!" Who both yell. P&P is already bad, but being named after a bodily fluid—a disgusting one at that—is even worse.
We march downstairs, and I'm so mad that I don't even pause to admire the living room. I practically throw open the door, throw open the car door, and launch myself onto the passenger seat.
I sulk the entire trip. Jace and Riley don't make the situation any better by giggling at my long face and making jokes.
Where are we going anyway? Riley said something about a mall...Southgate? No, Northgate mall! We pull up in the mall's parking lot and all get out of the car.
"So, Lexi, I'm treating you to an early dinner at Panda Express. Fancy some Chinese anyone?"
I'm about to answer when my stomach rumbles very loudly.
"Guess that's our answer Riley. Princess's stomach must be very hungry." I roll my eyes at home and follow them into the mall. The mall is huge, and I'm surprised to see so many people here at this time. It's only...5pm?
We take the elevator to the first floor. Riley leads us to Panda Express. It's a neat place and I ordered this:

And may I just say, it was good. Jace and I offered to pay at the same time—cringe—but Riley refuses and used the excuse of going to the bathroom to secretly go and pay! The nerve! But technically we all ordered the same dish and had a great time.
Even Jace was so perverted. Oh my...did I just compliment him? Am I becoming...a nice person?! Never!
