3 - Class Schedule

~POV: Lucas~
Suddenly, a burst of laughter rang out. Lucas turned his head to look at the "popular" table.

"Lucas," Vil called to him, "I forgot to mention someone else you should look out for. He's not as bad as Ridley, but you should still be warned."

"It's Ken, isn't it?" Young asked.

"Congratulations," Vil rolled his eyes, "He may not be as violent as Ridley, but he can still cause plenty of pain. Don't get in his way either."

Lucas looked back at that certain table and saw a tall blond man, not as tall as Ridley, but still terrifying nonetheless. "That's him?" Lucas said in confusion, "He looks like an adult."

"That's a weird thing about him," Toon added, "He looks too old to be here. Also one thing Vil forgot to mention: Ken's ego."

"Don't even get me started," Vil looked exhausted just talking about it, "It's so high, it puts skyscrapers to shame. Planes envy how high it goes."

Red looked over at that certain table, "That sounds right. Never knew why some of those kids still hang around him, even with Rock."

How can Rock get all those kids around him if Ken and Ridley are so bad? That's strange, Lucas thought. "What's-"

"Attention students," the speakers blared to life. A hush fell over all the students, "Please report to the presentation lobby."

"It's time for orientation," Ness told Lucas, "You'll find out your classes soon."

Lucas did not have a good feeling about this. He followed Ness and his group to the floor above the dining hall. They all took their seats next to each other in the relatively small auditorium. Once all the students had sat down the lights dimmed.

A short man with a silly mustache, in Lucas' opinion, walked on stage, "Welcome to a new school year, students," the person said, "For all our new students, I am Mr. Mario, a teacher at this school. If you have any questions about any of the rules in the student handbook, feel free to ask me or any other of your fellow teachers."

"There was a student handbook?" Lucas quietly whispered to Ness.

"Don't worry about it," Ness whispered back, "It's not that important. I've never read it. Just use your common sense and you'll be fine."

"For all our new students, I hope you enjoy your first year here and for all our returning ones, be sure to give your new classmates a warm welcome."

Lucas could have swore he saw Ridley glance at him.

"Now, I will call up your first name and you will come and receive your schedule for the rest of the year. First is Tiberius."

Toon sighed at the mention of his real name. He walked up to the stage and took his schedule from Mr. Mario. He looked through it has he walked back to his seat, "I have to take home economics with Miss Peach as my first class of the day," he groaned.

"Don't burn the school down on the first day, Toon," Young jokingly said.

"Lucina," Mr. Mario called.

A girl will dark blue hair walked up to the stage to receive her schedule. She looked disappointed.

"Ridley."

The entire audience went quiet and all whispering stopped. Ridley got up and went to the stage to take his schedule.

Mr. Mario called almost every student up, including Young, Ness, Vil, and Red. Lucas didn't know most of the other students and wondered how their parents could choose such bad names for their kids. There were only two students left and Lucas hoped he wasn't the last one.

"Lucas." Mr. Mario called.

Lucas shakily walked up to the stage. He felt too many eyes on him to be comfortable. He quickly took his schedule and hoped he didn't look weird as he was walking back to his seat. Lucas quickly read his schedule.

"Lucas," Toon whispered to him, "Can I see your schedule?"

Lucas showed Toon his schedule.

"Nice! We have 3 classes together and share a dorm!"

"Can I ask you something, Toon?" Lucas wondered.

"Sure, what do need?"

"What does 'still pending' mean?"

"It means you can choose an extra class. You get quite a few choices. I'm not sure what I'll-"

"I would recommend something easy for your first year," Vil interrupted.

"And finally," Mr. Mario stated, "Rock. Now that you all have your schedules you will report to your classes tomorrow. You should be in your first period class by 7:45 AM. Each of your classes lasts an hour. The only exception is your home room, your first period, class which is 5 extra minutes longer. The school day ends at 3:50 PM. When the school day ends you will report to your dormitory unless you are going to see a teacher," Mr. Mario paused.

"New students," he continued, "Do not be afraid to ask a fellow student or teacher for help if you cannot find a room. Now all of you will report to your dorms for the night. If you brought any luggage, it is already inside your room. Let's make this the best year ever!"

"He said that last year," Red whispered.

"He says that every year," Vil added.

"Just like my old school," Lucas mumbled.

Author's Note: All the students that go to Ultimate Boarding school are 10-17 years old so I'm going to play around with canon ages. But this is my fanfic so it's my rules.
