~POV: Lucas~
The stressful start of the day had left Lucas exhausted. No, Lucas thought to himself, Something good will happen eventually.
"We both have our first classes together," Toon told Lucas, "It's at Miss Peach's classroom.
"Uh, sorry to ask, but how will we get back into our dorm?"
"It's fingerprint activated. The only people who can enter a dorm are the students who sleep their and the cleaning staff."
"When do the cleaning staff come?"
"They'll usually tell us a day or two in advanced."
The walk from the dormitory wing to the class wing was short. Most of the classes were next to each other so you couldn't be late. The pair arrived at Miss Peach's classroom some time around 7:35 AM.
"Why hello, Tiberius," Miss Peach greeted them at the door to her classroom, "And I believe you are Lucas?"
"I am, Miss Peach," Lucas stated.
"Feel free to come in. You are the first ones here. You'll get your satchel bags shortly. Sit wherever you want."
The room was filled with some square tables with three seats each. The teacher's desk was in the corner closet to the door and that same wall had a tall bookshelf, that reached up to the ceiling, filled with all sorts of cook books and other home economics related topics. The room had enough cooking stations for every group to have their own. These cooking stations had an oven with a stovetop, a microwave, a mini fridge, a sink, and drawers and cabinets filled with plates and utensils.
Toon and Lucas both chose a table near the corner of the classroom. Lucas looked relieved when he saw their was a fire extinguisher next to the teacher's desk.
"Who else is in this class?" Lucas was curious and worried.
"Well not Ridley," Toon answered, "He almost burned the school down."
"If he keeps pulling all these stunts then why isn't he expelled?"
"His mother works here and it just so happens that she's an important scientist and has a lot of power on the school board. At least she was smart enough to take Ridley out of this class."
"Who's his mother?"
"Miss Samus. I heard she adopted him."
"Also, you don't call teachers by their last names?"
"We don't really do that here-"
"Welcome back, Mewtwo." Miss Peach greeted.
"Lucas," Toon hurriedly whispered, "Mewtwo was the one Ridley almost killed. They don't have any classes together and their dorms are far apart now."
"Really? I feel terrible for Mewtwo. That must have been terrible."
"He and Miss Samus don't get along at all anymore."
"Changing the topic, don't we have mathematics with Miss Samus together next period?"
"We do-"
"Alright then, sit wherever you want. Class starts in about 5 minuets," Miss Peach cheerfully told Mewtwo.
Lucas looked over and saw that Mewtwo looked like he was a few years older than him. He had pale skin and lavender hair.
What is it with people at this school and unnatural hair colors? Lucas wondered.
When Mewtwo turned around Lucas noted that his eyes were rather pale. It was like they had no color. Mewtwo sat down at a table on the opposite side of the room from where Toon and Lucas were.
As time passed, more and more students entered the classroom. Toon and Lucas didn't pay much attention to them as they were busy talking amongst themselves about home economics. The bell rang and the speakers blared to life.
"Welcome, students, to your first day at Ultimate Boarding School," someone, most likely Mr. Mario said, "Today is September 1st. You should all be in your first period classes at this time. After these quick announcements your teacher will hand you your school bags and begin today's activity."
Toon leaned over and whispered to Lucas, "They say school bags, but expect something that looks like a large satchel."
"As you know, the basement is off limits to the students due to the fact that that is where most of the school generators are. Do not try and enter the basement. You will receive a harsh punishment if you attempt to do so. Please treat your teachers and fellow students with respect and have a wonderful day."
Miss Peach cleared her throat, "Now that-"
"Wait!" a familiar voice rang out from the hallway. Rock burst threw the door, panting. His hair was more of a mess than usual and he looked out of breath. He dusted himself off and cleared his throat, "Forgive my lateness, Miss Peach. I-"
"No excuses," Miss Peach calmly said, "Since this is the first day, I will excuse your lateness. Take a seat."
Unfortunately for two people in that room the only open seat was at Toon and Lucas' table. Rock, who looked unbothered by this took a seat at their table.
Why do I have a terrible feeling about this? Lucas asked himself.
"Now that everyone is here," Miss Peach glanced at Rock, "I will be handing out your school bags."
A few short minutes later and Lucas was admiring his school "bag". It really did look more like a large satchel. That didn't bother Lucas. He enjoyed how his name was embroidered into both sides of the bag.
"Remember, children," Miss Peach lectured, "This bag is for transporting your school supplies only. If any contraband found in that bag you will be harshly punished according to school policy. Now that we have that out of the way..."
Lucas hoped she wasn't going to do what he thought she would-
"We will go around and introduce ourselves to the class. I know some of you may know each other from our previous years, but we always get new students and it's nice to have a refresher."
Oh no, Lucas thought.
