Aden has been acting very weird lately. He keeps having moments where he just stares at me without saying a word.
"What?" I asked him for the umpteenth time.
"I can't stare at my beautiful wife?" he responded for the umpteenth time.
"Aden, you've been behaving strangely. Just tell me what's going on," I said.
I moved closer to him and held his hand.
"I've been in touch with your parents," Aden said. "They're actually coming today—under my strict conditions," he added.
"Wha... My... Aden... How?" I stammered, struggling to make sense of his words.
"We're expecting, Peach. I want you to enjoy your pregnancy and cherish every moment of it. I know you miss your parents, so I wanted to bring them to you," he said.
"There... Aden... Thank you," I said, unable to find the right words in the moment.
"I had a close friend pick them up. They're being brought here blindfolded—but I promise I won't hurt them," he reassured me.
Just then, Aden's phone rang.
"They're here," he said.
I stood up and moved as fast as a six-months-pregnant woman with twins could.

"Mom, Dad, you're here!" I cried, tears streaming down my face.
They were crying too.
"My sweet girl," my mother said, pulling me into a tight hug.
"Did he hurt you?" my dad asked, his voice tense.
"No, I'm fine. I love Aden. Mom, Dad, Aden is my husband, and we're six months pregnant with twins," I said, wiping my tears.
"We know," my father said.
"Are you mad at me?" I asked hesitantly.
"No, sweetheart. We're just happy you're alive," my mom said, her voice thick with emotion.
