Kirishima sat next to Bakugou, basking in the pleasant cool that the shade provided. After the two boys had grabbed their tasty treats they had immediately retreated to a nearby park that was unsurprisingly littered with kids. Thankfully though, the park was public and sported a lot of open room which allowed he and Bakugou to take a seat on a bench away from the majority of people and thankfully under a shade tree.
When the two took their seat, Bakugou had practically finished his ice cream while Kirishima looked as if he hadn't even started his. It surprised him actually, Bakugou seemed like the type to take things slow. Kirishima also wondered how he didn't get a brain freeze. That would've been a sight, though he was sure Bakugou would murder him if he was witness to that.
Both teens were quiet as they surveyed their surroundings. To be fair they hadn't talked much at all, only a few shared words and an argument on who would pay for the ice cream. Bakugou had won that.
Kirishima allowed himself to absent mindedly take a bite out of his ice cream as he looked around. The warm day had drawn kids outdoors to play on the small and unimpressive playground while parents sat in the shadows, their faces either glued on a phone screen or fixated on their rowdy children.
Kirishima glanced to Bakugou. The blonde seemed lost in thought, his chin resting in the palm of his hand as he leaned heavily against the side of the bench, his eyes focused on nothing in particular.
"You want a bite," Kirishima questioned, holding out his slowly melting ice cream. The question seemed to snap Bakugou out of his daze.
"What?" The word didn't hold any of Bakugou's usual irritable tone but instead was quiet and confused.
Kirishima waved his ice cream cone, "Do you want a bite, air head?"
Bakugou made a face at the name and snapped, "No, I don't want a bite of your nasty ice cream." Kirishima pulled his ice cream back towards him, placing a hand on his chest in a dramatic fashion.
"How could you say such a thing, rocky road is the superior flavour!" Bakugou turned to Kirishima, a glare on his face.
"Look idiot, obviously it's not, the lady at the fucking parlor even forgot it was a fucking flavour." Kirishima watched, amused, as Bakugou went on about how the flavour was far from being good. Kirishima tried to hold back a laugh at how easily Bakugou was drawn into the argument but could help the snort that escaped him when Bakugou finished his rant with, "So, obviously, salted caramel is better than your fucking rocky road."
"Bakubro, dude, have you even tried rocky road," Kirishima questioned, grinning at him. Bakugou was silent for a moment and Kirishima knew he had caught him. "Aha! You haven't! You have no room to talk unless you try it." Kirishima was laughing now, small, bubbly laughs that made him lean his head over the back of the bench as his shoulder bounced with amusement.
"It's not that fucking funny, idiot." Even as Bakugou said it though, Kirishima couldn't help but notice the slight change in his tone, as well as the way the his lips twitched, showing that he was forcing a smile down. When his laughter didn't die down fast enough, Bakugou growled and snatched the cone from Kirishima's hand. "If I try it, will you shut the fuck up," Bakugou asked Kirishima aggressively. When Kirishima regained his composure and gave him the thumbs up, Bakugou didn't hesitate to take a bite out of the side of Kirishima's cone as well one from the actual ice cream.
Kirishima's face fell in dismay when he was handed back his ice cream, his eyes wide as he inspected the damage done to the cone.
Beside him Bakugou mumbled, "Hm, not that bad, but still not the better than salted caramel, hair for brains."
"Oh come on, dude," Kirishima said, passing the cone between his hands as he tried to avoid the melting ice cream leaking out of the gaping fucking whole in the side of it, completely ignoring Bakugou's words. "That was the back bone of the whole thing! You can't bite the cone like that, eating ice cream has a system. Top to bottom. That's the only way!" When he looked to Bakugou, he caught him rolling his eyes at Kirishima's petty distress.
"Stop being a baby and fucking eat it before it melts." Kirishima sighed, his shoulders dropping as he hurried to finish the rest of his ice cream before it all melted.
When he finally finished, he pouted at Bakugou, "You know, you're kinda mean." In return, Bakugou only shrugged and stood from the bench, gesturing with a jerk of his head for Kirishima to follow unless he wanted to get left behind.
Almost as quickly as his disappointment had came, it was gone and he was rushing after Bakugou, his feet pattering against the ground as he threw an arm around the blondes shoulders. "So, Bakugou, where to next?"
Bakugou shook him off and looked to him, a sour expression on his face, "I don't recall saying we were going anywhere else. You can go back to work or something, I don't care."
"Pssh, come on man, we haven't even began to tap into the endless reserve of fun we can have," Kirishima mused, spreading his arms to the sky. When he noticed Bakugou's unchanged expression, he put on a sly smile, "Besides, you owe me don't you?" Kirishima watched as Bakugou face slowly morphed into one of horror. He knew he couldn't get out of the bro time that Kirishima was planning.
"Fuck," he growled, pinching the bridge of his nose. Finally, he sighed and looked at Kirishima with a deadpan expression, "So, where to first?" His voice was filled with fake enthusiasm and the words were forced though gritted teeth. Kirishima knew he was walking on thin ice but he couldn't help the grin that spread across his face.
"Well Bakugou, I'm glad you asked." Oh, did he have plans, and oh weren't they mischievous.

While the chapter was kind of uneventful, I actually really like it and think it's kind of cute. They need bonding time don't they?
Besides, the next chapter will be similar but not in the "sweet and savory, let's eat ice cream together" type of similar, but the "19 year old idiot boys hanging out" type of similar. So yeah, hope you enjoyed and have a day.
