Kirishima had never seemed like someone who did a lot of sneaking around. Yeah, he'd done quite a few things that would be frowned upon by his Mom's and by other adults but only his close knit group of friends knew about that -- he planned to keep it that way as well.

Perhaps this was the reason why Bakugou was obviously very confused when Kirishima brought him back to the convenience store many hours after it had closed for the day. The building was shrouded in an unnerving darkness that seemed to get Kirishima's heart pounding in his chest.

"Hey, idiot, the store's fucking closed, why are we here?" Bakugou had yet to let his irritated attitude slip and Kirishima was thoroughly impressed that someone so pretty could stay angry for that long. The thought made him stop for a moment but he quickly shoved it to the back of his mind, more focused on the situation at hand.

Kirishima hushed Bakugou, "Just follow me, blondy." Behind him, Kirishima could tell the blonde teen was about to explode. For some reason, his shenanigans had him feeling particularly brave, brave enough to instigate the ticking time bomb called Bakugou. Still though, Bakugou followed him around the backside of the building, both of the boys staying close to the side of the building, their shoes crunching noisily against the stray rocks that were scattered across the pavements.

The red head glanced back at Bakugou one last time as they came to a stop. The boy was standing behind him, a confused and slightly irritated look on his face. Customary Bakugou he assumed.

"Why the hell are we back here, shitty hair," he eyed Kirishima cautiously. "You better not be planning anything."

Kirishima felt a laugh bubble up in the back of his throat as he shook his head and gestured to the rusted, black ladder he stood beside. "You up for some star gazing," Kirishima questioned through an unbearably wide grin.

He watched as Bakugou raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms, his shoulder pressing against the rust coloured brick of the building, "You know this is technically illegal, right?" In return, Kirishima reached out and wrapped his hand around the warm metal of the ladder.

"Don't tell me you're scared, Bakugou," he teased, his arms and legs already working on moving him up the ladder before Bakugou could strangle him. Down below he heard a string of curses, each of them coming from an angry Bakugou. It didn't take either of them long to get up the ladder, even if it a moderately high distance from the ground.

Kirishima swung his legs over the ledge and dropped his feet down onto the hard surface of the store's roof. He'd been up here a few times with successful end results but never with another person. Behind him, he heard feet drop onto the concrete and spun around to meet the fiery red eyes of Bakugou.

"What the he-." Kirishima knew the direction of the sentence and almost expected the temperamental blonde to finish it. Instead, Kirishima found himself watching as the others eyes flashed to the night sky above them. For a brief second Bakugou's face went through a number of emotions. First anger, then awe, then, lastly, a surprising serene calm. The look was so much different from the relaxed look Kirishima had seen earlier that it almost left him speechless.

Quietly, Kirishima spoke, "Beautiful right?"

"Shut up, Shitty hair," Bakugou grumbled, reluctantly tearing his eyes away from the sky above. Kirishima held up his hands in mock surrender as he turned and made his way for the wide ledge at the edge of the building. With a small yawn, he sank down onto the concrete, his back protesting briefly as he laid down on the hard surface, his leg hanging lazily in open air as he did so.

After a moment, Bakugou followed suit, resting with the top of his head just inches away from Kirishima's. Both of them were quiet for a long while, watching silently as the sky darkened and turned so blue it was nearly black, so blue that the stars seemed so much brighter against them than they did before, like tiny pinpoints of white paint on a canvas.

It was Bakugou who spoke first.

"It's the Big Dipper." His voice was oddly quiet and something about it soothed Kirishima, like a mother would sooth a crying child. Kirishima looked up at the stars and hummed, a confused look crossing his face.

"I thought that was the Little Dipper." Beside him, he heard Bakugou groan in annoyance as he reverted back to his usual unhappy tone.

The teen reached an arm up and began to trace the constellation, leaving Kirishima to seek out the stars he was pointing out. He didn't pay much attention to the words Bakugou was saying, just the sound of his voice. As he went on, he became much more gentle in his teachings, his voice comparing to the alluring call of a Siren. Just a little less deadly and horrifying.

"The Big Dipper is probably one of the most prominent constellations, other than the Orion of course, and I- Kirishima?" By the time Kirishima had managed to tune back into reality, Bakugou had mercilessly smacked his hand against the red heads forehead, earning a pained groan from him. "You weren't paying a lick of attention, were you dumbass?"

Kirishima tried to play it off, waving a nonchalant hand in the air, "No, no, I was. You know, the Big Dipper is super cool, lots of stuff to it." The silence that followed briefly led Kirishima to believe he'd practically hit the nail on the head, but when he looked up to see the blank expression on Bakugou's face, he was proven wrong.

"You're an idiot." Indeed. Indeed he was. For more reasons than one.
