Kirishima lay sprawled out across the warm sand. Next to him, sat Bakugou, his drink pressed to his lips as he tilted his head back and drained the bottle.

The sun had just begun to set and both boys seemed to be delaying the days end. For the past few hours they had enjoyed the mild heat and cool water, both having been thoughtful enough to bring their swim trunks. Glancing up to the sky once again, it looked like it would rain.

Now, Bakugou stared up at the sky while Kirishima idly watched  him. His form was outlined with what little light was left and his shirtless form still left Kirishima's heart fluttering a little.

The red head hadn't realised he'd been staring so intensely until the blonde pointed it out.

"Stop staring at me idiot, it's weird," he grumbled, looking down at Kirishima with his eyebrows furrowed.

In response, Kirishima laughed awkwardly and sat up, sand sticking to the back of his unbuttoned shirt, "Sorry about that, I got lost in thought." Bakugou rolled his eyes and sighed, eyes once again examining the sky.

"It's getting dark, I think I'm going to head home now." Bakugou didn't wait for Kirishima to answer as he stood, the muscles in his turned back stretching as he pulled his shirt over his head. He finally turned to the teen when he slid into the thin black jacket that he'd arrived in.

Kirishima watched as the black fabric covered his skin and the intricate tattoos that wound up his arm.

"Surprisingly I had an okay time with an idiot like you," Bakugou said somewhat begrudgingly.

"Well, the day doesn't have to end," Kirishima commented, shrugging his shoulders.

With a look of confusion on his face, Bakugou took the bait, "What do you mean hair for brains, the sun's going down. The day really is about to fucking end."

Elated, Kirishima sprung up, nearly loosing his balance as he pushed himself to his feet. "The day doesn't have to end until we want it to! There are still so many things we can do, just 'cause the sun is going down doesn't mean the days over!"

Bakugou watched him, an incredulous look on his face. When Kirishima finished speaking, the blonde scoffed. "You're a fucking idiot." As Kirishima was about to open his mouth to say something to convince the stubborn teen, Bakugou held up a hand. "But, it would be stupid to just call it a day. And don't get any ideas, I'm not doing this because I enjoy your company, I'd just rather not end the day on such a boring note."

It took everything Kirishima had to keep from shouting out in joy. In all honesty, he'd expected Bakugou to shoot him down as soon as the suggestion had left his mouth but instead he was pleasantly surprised. Instead of the over exaggerated reaction, he settled with a wide grin and follows after the now retreating Bakugou.

"So, what do you want to do," Kirishima questioned, slinging an arm over his friends shoulders.

The blonde scoffed and glanced at him from the corner of his eye, "You're the one who wanted to stay out later! Why do I have to come up with something?"

"It's a group effort," Kirishima said exasperatedly, his shoulders hunching as he pouted playfully. "Teamwork makes the dream work after all."

"You're a fucking idiot," Bakugou sighed under his breath.

Kirishima only laughed it off and gave a tiny squeeze of the others shoulder, "I think that's the hundredth time you've said that."

"If you'd stop being an idiot, I wouldn't have to say it do much."
