Aryamann's PoV :

In case you haven't noticed #17 : London is a city of pace. Here, a million people run each day- to make a living, to fulfill dreams, in search of love and peace... In short, they run for their lives.

We were also living up to it's running image. The only difference was that we were doing it way too literally.

I was extremely thankful to Tamanna for three reasons. Firstly, for she was a girl who'd pick sneakers over stilettos. Secondly, for her dancing routines had built an athletic stamina in her. Thirdly, for she knew the dodging shortcut that led us back to her residence. Three reasons saving three innocent lives!

It wasn't like we were vampires and those dogs would have chased and killed us with their werewolf bites; but it saved us, specifically me, from the rabies injection horror.

As soon as we barged into the house and immediately shut the door behind us, Tamanna peeped through the key hole to verify if there were any signs of those rowdy dogs following us. When she signalled a thumbs up at me being satisfied that there were none, we both fell pantingly on the floor with our back leaning against the door. The moment we made an eye contact, nothing could stop the rally of breathless, stomach wrenching, tearful laughter from erupting. Which astrologer could predict that we'd leave as turtles and return as hares?!

Our eyes met again, but this time ending our outburst and turning into an intense stare. They were fixated on each other until I realised our gazing session had reached a very dangerous timing. One microsecond more and I'd have no control over my succeeding actions. I needed to break visual bond, right there, right then! That's when my sight dropped to her lips...

"You know you tried to kiss me in the club, right?", I enquired in an attempt of casually interrupting the stare.

"What the hell are you talking about?", she counter questioned in extreme shock, not believing her ears.

Frankly, even I couldn't believe what made up story just escaped my mouth while I aimed at escaping the awkward eye contact. Lips do that to you.

"Oh wait! You only didn't try, you actually did!", I naughtily added and continued to fake. The consequent drop in her expression said she totally bought my act and that was tempting me to continue faking.

"I tried my best to deny, but you were so unrelenting that I had to be the victim of your drunkenness", I narrated with a purposefully dramatic helpless face.

Out of the blue, she began slapping my arm rapidly. "You fucking liar! I wouldn't think of making out with you even in my subconscious state!"

"Don't forget you were constantly demanding for a make out on the microphone in front of the whole club", I managed to utter in between my struggle to protect myself from her hittings.

But she didn't stop her special kung fu combined with chick-flick movie-like cat fight moves, and I had to end it before I developed any bruises.

"OK OK I give up. I was bluffing", I reluctantly surrendered and that very moment, the pup that we had rescued and which was comfortably lying on my lap all this time, escaped my grip and started its run riot all around the house.
