Aryamann's PoV :
The audio system burst with the in-house DJ's choice of trendy trance music and everybody were swaying like they were doped. I took Cindy by the hand into the dance arena and purposefully danced right beside Tamanna.
Marcus was already too close to her, but when she saw Cindy literally grinding herself against me, Tamanna crossed her intimacy boundaries and began cosy dancing with him.
Despite Marc being her good friend, I knew she was uncomfortable. But no, she broke all shackles of her comfort-zone just because she wanted to project that she was having a better time with Marc than I was having with Cindy. Jealousy does that to people, I knew, and Tommy was fuming with it!
"Huh! I beat you in your own game, Tommy!'', danced the evil side of my mind in achievement.
''But this isn't what you promised her before coming here. Stop before it's too late'', warned the good side of my mind, which I ignored for the moment.
The music suddenly turned into a slower, ball-dance style of genre and Cindy clung her hands around my neck while placing mine around her waist.
From the corner of my eye I glanced at Tamanna and she was sending daggers through her eyes at Cindy. To increase her jealousy, I looked more romantically into Cindy's green orbs.
Just then, Marc happened to turn her around and the next thing I saw was Tommy had fallen flat on her back. I guess Marc hadn't noticed her inattention to him.
In case you haven't noticed #16 : The second reaction you have to a friend's fall is help them up; the first being laughing uncontrollably at them.
And I had insanely drifted to the LMAO planet, laughing while pointing a finger at Tommy's dropped-down figure.
Marcus was completely embarrassed for his manhandle and constantly apologizing, but she refused his hand and helped herself up. She then stomped away to the bar counter while I followed her, hoping she wouldn't drink her embarrassment off.
''Hey, I am sorry for laughing at you, but don't take your anger out through alcohol. I need to take you home all sober'', I said apologetically and in the meantime, the bartender served her drink.
''Chillax! It's just orange juice'', she replied and sipped some of it. ''But why are you concerned? Go away to that Cindy-windy-lindy-nosy-slutty-whatever-girl of your's and dance your ass off, rubbing yourselves on each other!'', she blurted.
I opened my mouth to utter some words of defence, but she cut me out and commanded, ''Go away, Aryamann! Don't keep her waiting, like me.''
I knew she was angry at me and wouldn't be in the right mood to listen to me, but I didn't want to leave her alone.
But that Cindy-windy-lindy-nosy-slutty-whatever-girl had different plans. She had followed me to the bar counter and dragged me back to the dance floor. I protested to the best of my ability, but she kept close dancing with me and sexily wooing me for attention. She also touched my hair and messed them up. Damn!
After a minute of her unending attempts, someone took her by the hand and harshly pushed her away from me.
It was none other than Tommy, and I was so thankful!
''Bark away from him, you bitch!'', she dictated. ''Go find a man-whore who'd match your level of desperation!''
''Technically, I have found one, Tammy'', declared Cindy casually. ''Karen is an escort!'', she added matter-of-factly.
