Tamanna's PoV :
The harsh sensations of my aching head woke me up and I squealed an 'Ouch!' taking it in my hands. Finding myself set aright in my bed, I tried to refresh my memory from last night, but couldn't recall any subsequent to the finger-talk with Cindy. That bitch!
But what really happened to me last night? Why didn't I remember anything? Who brought me back home? Was I suffering from a memory loss? The answer to all the questions parading in my head could be with none other than 'Aryamann'! Yes, he'd know everything.
I needed to seek all the details of yesternight from him, but most essentially as of now, I needed to dump something into the depths of my stomach. I was badly hungry!
I turned left to check the time on my bedside table clock and surprisingly, it's place had been exchanged by a steaming mug of coffee! Caffeine - my all time favorite saviour! Trisha was the only name that came to my mind as to who could show such unsolicited mercy on me. She can be such a darling sometimes!
Without wasting a single second and even bothering about the morning ritual of brushing one's teeth, I gulped down all the fluid in a single breath, amazed at how starvation had turned such an uninterested feeder as me into a hogger!
Post brushing, I heard human voices from the kitchen, as I descended the stairs. Alas! Aryamann was back into my residence and this time, merrily cooking breakfast alongside Baba and Sha. Wait! He cooks?
"You should really stop surprise-visiting me", I mumbled between a yawn.
"No manners, Tamanna? They demand that you should greet a 'good morning' first. You're so unlike Trisha and I bet Dr Sen hasn't raised you", he ranted at me and then teasingly continued it addressing my father, "Was she adopted?"
Baba only laughed in response. Only laugh? Isn't he going to defend my existence? Wasn't I his dear daughter? Never mind, I'm going to be my own Superman against this Ironman!
"You can call a CBI investigation and also ask the forensics to get my DNA tested, but when I am in the mood to let you get hold of even a single cell of mine", I blabbed.
He walked past me to grab a spoon from the other end of the cooking counter and while doing so, he whispered in my ear, "I've already got control over your heart and mind, babe." And that, my friends, gave me goosebumps and I found zero reasons to deny his declaration.
"Thanks for the coffee, Sha. You are such a saviour!", I tried to act composed and changed the topic.
"It wasn't me, Tammy, it was him", she replied while pointing a finger at Aryamann and he did his patent superhero pose.
"Call her 'Didi', Trisha", interrupted and instructed Baba.
"Yeah OK. So Tamanna didi, it was Aryamann jiju", she said the last word silently after a long teasing pause. Her tease-disease was back! I slapped her arm in return and gestured with my eyes that we had an adult company too.
