For once, everything in the delinquent house was quiet. It was 7am and everyone was still asleep.
Chloe slowly opened her eyes and started to blink herself awake. She was always a morning person and this was actually way too late for her.
However she couldn't get herself to get out of bed once she saw the face beside her.
Beca's chest was rising and falling gently as she breathed. Her hair was spread out over the pillow in a mess. Chloe gently pulled a lone strand of hair from Beca's face and put it behind her hear.
The tough, sarcastic, overprotective werewolf seemed so at peace during her sleep. Chloe cast her glance over to the girl's partially open lips.
'They must be so soft' she thought and frowned to herself.
"No. Don't think like that Chloe. She's just a friend," she quietly scolded herself. 'But wasn't she also leaning in on the ferris wheel?' The thought started nibbling on her mind.
Hearing a soft thud; Chloe quickly glanced up and saw Emily quietly getting out of bed.
The brunette noticed the redhead looking at her.
"Oh I'm sorry. Did I wake you?" she whispered and Chloe shook her head.
"No. I was getting up anyway," the vampire carefully removed herself from the bed as not to wake the sleeping brunette.
Chloe glanced back at Beca with admiration in her eyes.
"You two look really cute together," Chloe's eyes widened as she looked back at Emily who had a smile on her face.
"I uh..... no it's...... I don't know what you mean." The vampire failed miserably at trying to pretend she didn't know what the young girl meant. Emily responded with a raised eyebrow and a smirk.
"We're just friends," and with that Chloe started to walk downstairs with a still smirking Emily behind her.
"I was just saying. You guys would make a great couple." Emily had plopped down at the kitchen table while Chloe put her into a cupboard, trying to hide her blush.
"Oh well. She probably wouldn't want to go for me anyway," Chloe responded sadly.
"Are you kidding. If I were into girls I would totally be drooling over you." The comment made Chloe blush even more if it were possible.
As Chloe pulled out a pan to start breakfast; she accidentally bumped a pot which fell down with a loud 'clang'. Both girls winced at the loud sound, hoping they didn't wake anyone up.
When they didn't hear anything, Chloe sighed while Emily giggled from her chair. "Wow, these people really do sleep when they want to don't they?" the redhead jokingly asked and Emily nodded while still giggling.
"What are guys up to?" a voice asked making both girls jump slightly.
They turned around and saw Nilrem standing in the doorway looking like he just woke up.
"Oh sorry," Emily chuckled. "Did we wake you?"
"Just a tad," the wizard yawned.
"Sorry about that," Chloe said but absolutely couldn't care less about him.
"It's ok. Well I'll be off. I'm going to get my things, but I won't be back until tonight."
"Oh don't you need any help?" Emily asked sympathetically.
Chloe was about to retort, but was cut off by Nilrem. "No. Don't worry about it. I'll be fine."
As he looked to Chloe she forced a smile and hoped he'd buy it.
